***INSURANCE***

This event is a COME AND FLY event. I nor anyone else will be checking your insurance status. HOWEVER I strongly recommend you have suitable insurance for flying your aircraft. You can get it from many places. If you need advise please search through the forums on here, you will find loads of information.

You are flying next a multi-million new build school, near people, and near cars in a car park not to far away. Should the worse happen YOU THE PILOT WILL / ARE RESPONSIBLE....

Also please keep animals, children and wives under control at the event!!

That said it will be a great day and no-one will crash / die  ;D ;D

Details about insurance...

Look forward to meeting you.

Im just printing mine out now.... just in case... lol

FOOTWEAR

As a bit of PLEASE HELP OUT kind of note can I please ask that people if possible can you bring FLAT shoes, no stillettos (not sure who) or outdoor shoes. Both will damage the sports hall flooring / trasnfer mud. If at all possible a spare pair of shoes would be great.

CHARGING

There are various points around the sports hall to charge you lipos etc etc. HOWEVER if anyone has some 4 way plug adaptors it may help out.

Doors open at 9:00am and we have the place till 2:00pm. (MUST BE EMPTY THEN)

Flying is on ALL DAY LONG indoors and outdoors NON STOP. There will be a flight line in operation and the rules are as follows:

No NON flyers and spotters beyond the flight (no exceptions).
No children near the flight line unless with an adult - keep them safe please!!
No flying over spectators / behind the flight line / no flying towards the flight line.
All people flying FPV must have a spotter, there will be people available if needed.
No large helicopters / planes indoors.
It is the pilots responsibilty to check radio / video frequencies. CHECK BEFORE YOU TURN ON.
No VTX / 35mhz to be turned on unless you are on the flight line. YOU MUST CHECK WITH PILOTS FLYING / ABOUT TO FLY.
STAY SAFE AT ALL TIMES, first aid is available and the Sports Hall staff are the designated First Aiders for the event. Please report all injuries (hopefully none).

As this is an event to "help out" we are running workshops and presentations:

1: Beginners 11:00am - All the basics on FPV such as equipment, staying safe, planes, mulitrotors etc etc. - Presented by SteveW and Keukpa.
2: Intermediate 12:00pm - Things such as extending range, antenna basics, OSD's, autopilots etc. - Presented byTeamFTP, GinnerFPV and Liambaker996.
3: Advanced 1:00pm - Long range, antennas, waypoints, firmware etc. - Presented by Coyote.

These session will be ran at the times above and will be done with the projector and examples of what can be done.

The projector will also be used for Pheonix RC simulator, you can FPV on it and LOS. My laptop is VERY SLOW but runs it. If anyone has a faster one with it on it maybe helpful?!?!

There will be an FPV WORKSHOP running through the day with people on hand to help answer your questions. There will be someone there to help out!!! If you have a problem with equipment please pop it along and I am sure we shall be able to help.

Flying tuition will be availble through myself and probably others if you need it. I am also happy for people to try out the Fatshark goggles and have a seat in the plane whilst it is flying to experince FPV. There will be a simulator running to so you can try out both FPV and LOS flying.

I am going to bring the 3D printer so you will be able to see how they work.

THIS IS A MUST for people who want to find out more about FPV and thanks to the above will be a very informative day!!

Postcode is DN69AS - Campsmount School.

Any problems or any other ideas for the day let me know.
