EZUHF - very poor quality antennas. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! **BEWARE**

Well after having a chainlinkdare UHF system for a while I had the opportunity to get a EZUHF system for another project.

However it's gotta be said I am so disappointed with the quality of the antenna. The stock ones are bendy to a point but of you even give them a gentle wiggle the solder gives out in the sma connector and this is not 100% noticeable at first.

Of course this could lead to loss of signal and goodbye plane.

I have resoldered mine and they are are ok now.... I hope!!!

Just thought I would let people know as the last thing we need is your model flying off or crashing.

Stock antenna's? I did not think Immersion packaged antenna's with their equipment... especially not home made "Sander Style" antenna's.

Well these bad boys were in the packet that I got so I can only presume they came from ImmersionRC or maybe they have come from Tesco and got contaminated  :laugh: :laugh:

Let's face it, this IS the most important link we have. That's just Bullshit! The Dragon Link long range antenna's are awesome and well made with a thick coax, but I was thinking sub 20km, we may as well just get whip antenna's made from coax and an sma connector. 3DJim was chatting about this some time ago.

They are OK but weigh quite a bit, especially when there is two of em.

Nothing wrong with the sander style antenna's if they are made properly, I make my own, sold about 80 on eBay. I use solid copper cable, not stranded, and I get a real good solder joint with the most expensive solder I can. I've tried ripping the cable out and it's really hard to do.

Yep the ones that come with the ChainLinkDare system are also great and top quality. Why on earth would ImmersionRC even put this crap with their kit??

Sorry dude just moved house so no ebay listings at the minute, I'm almost up and running though just unpacked the soldering gear yesterday :) Might have a few spare in the toolboxes of which I have some 10 or more stacked up in the "spare" room....

Here's the topic I posted on here, Coyote tested em and said they were decent. Which is not saying anything about my skills really as it's very simple to do yourself if you use the right bits using Sander's instructions.
