If you look around, you can get some switches..

On - On - Momentary On

These can be great as replacements. Essentially you get a two position, with a trainer style spring load for the third.

Pretty cool but I wish they would replace the SMA with BNC and S-Video with a locking connector. This new design would have been a great chance to start fresh.

It also has the issue of antenna angle.

I'm not sure whether I'd rather have this or the new 2W external module (same case as current one).

Do remember if it arrives with a damaged alloy case from Giant Shark they will say the case is a free gift and will not replace or refund you.

I know it sounds like a joke but it's the truth, with Giantshark the Taranis alloy case is looked on as a free gift and part of the packaging.

I was astounded at that one, every other Frsky vendor I've spoken too insist the case is part of the Combo.
T9 are expecting delivery any day now.
I have no connection with T9, this is just a heads up, I wouldn't want anyone else to have to go through what I went through with Giant Shark.

Fortunately with distance selling regs you can still return it for a full refund for no other reason.

Very true. Distance selling act is great, and coupled with Paypal, is untouchable :-)

Ordered mine from Giantshark. So far their cust service has been great for me, but then I've not had any problems.

Oh yes I sent it back OK, it only took Giant Shark 25 days from when I posted it untill when I got my refund.
I still haven't had an explanation for that either, many many emails were sent.

As of last week I now have my new Taranis from another vendor, all pristine, in perfect undamaged case, I am very happy now.

Giant Cod used to be really good when Rob had it but it's owned by that 'Entrepreneur' Owen Wyn Davies now, seems all that matters is the money, fairness is out the window.

Taranis arrived today. Now got to figure out how to configure it.
