I got the dispatched email this evening too.

When I ordered my very first Frsky modules and receivers from Giant Cod about 3 years ago they sent me a free Frsky hat with the order.
Did anybody else ever get a Frsky hat?

Mine arrived at the GF's... She'll be bringing it out to me on fri.

Tool a quick look at the companion software... Doesn't look particularly simple!

What did it say? "I love you, honey" ??

FPVSteve

"I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that"

pk-surfing

Nothing sexy but took me by surprise....

'Welcome to Taranis....... Throttle warning.....'

I made a quick video, as I was very relieved that moving models from er9x to the Taranis was very simple.... that said, Companion 9x didn't run on my Mac under Snow Leopard so I needed to upgrade my OS.  So in some ways it was the most annoying transfer ever, but most people probably already upgraded years ago :D

Setting up the FrSky Taranis - moving models over from a 9x wih er9x (easy peasy)

Was also pleasantly surprised that it would bind to my hateful V8FR-II rx's as well

Coyote

Well I got in touch with T9 and as suggested they had swapped systems and my details had been lost :(

I rang up after a few emails and its all sorted now, they should be here on Tuesday to be sent out the same week. Limited numbers so still pre-orders only being catered for still.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Does anyone know where to get some Naza or at least Multicopter audio files for the Taranis

I have found Scott`s page with plane related pre recorded sound files, but no multi related ones like, "GPS Hold" "Return To Launch" etc
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Coyote

Oh I must have the wrong audio file batch, it said they were the stock ones but no GPS etc, cheers

Anyone using this with mac?

If I switch on the radio and connect to USB I can flash the eeprom, but if I turn it off and connect it to try and flash the firmware the DFU util opens but nothing happens. Any ideas?

I don't know anything much abut Mac's but I've been reading about people having the same problem in windows.
I'm in Taranis information sponge mode at the moment.
Something here might help, or not but worth a read anyway.

I managed to secure a Taranis today, and am really rather buzzing about it as my first purchase and step into FPV.  Also ordered AerosimRC for training.

I understand the radio comes with a charger for the standard battery?  Any of you upgrading to a 2s Lipo?
