After a successful day Flying i have lost my model

i was on the bottom field Flying over top of the pit top where i normally fly it was still in view of my spotter then i lost complete video signal i said shit spotter looked at me instead of model and in she went. Im not sure of the plane went behind trees into trees straigh after loosing signal. Its the trees that are next to Where we fly on top of pit top the one that goes straight down to the bottom path long strip I ave searched for hours with goggles and unable to get anything

reward given if this is found

model is a skysurfer. With 250mw immersion vtx and diversity uhf receiver

keukpa

Why where you on the bottom field? Should fly from highest point, once you go over that pit top (considering how dense it is) it's going to kill your feed!

Sorry to hear you've lost your plane tho buddy....maybe it's in the same tree that mine is in??

Who were you flying with, anyone off here?

Hope you get it back!

No my partner no it's not in woods lol well it is but the long strip between bottom and tip field

FPVSteve

Ah shame after you had such good flying earlier in the day... beware those immortal words "Just One More Flight..."

Hope you get it back mate.

ah god :(
there may be a good chance on impact your camera lead come out.
if you had your osd and tracker it would have stored the last location of the plane.
if i was you like john said i would fly from the top as you have much more open air for the signal at the bottom there is plenty of obsticals.
hope you get it back!!

Will have to order it all again now on hols from tommorow tho. Make me sonder If 5.8ghz is the best

FPVSteve

5.8 sucks for penetrating objects but to be honest, you have to respect the fresnel zone regardless of frequency - you can't go behind objects at distance even with lower frequencies without dicing with death. Always recommended to keep line of sight, in fact it's not just recommended it's pretty much required lol.

jwmachon

Really sucks when its trees all im bothered about is the uhf receiver really

I'm back in the UK now so will built up the hex and come out on a search and rescue!!!
