The slip of paper I got with mine says the CoG is 180mm from the nose which is a complete lie :laugh:

I've not figured that out yet, I plan on doing some more research tonight. By research I mean strapping lipos to the nose until it flies acceptably :D

Does it not fly well at all then with the recommended CoG? Or is it just twitchy?

Well, mine flies really nicely with the CoG 195mm back from the tip of the nose and a 2200mAh + 1000mAh 3 cell up front for video.

Now I need to get some 3m spray and cover the leading edges.

180mm = tail heavy, on mine anyway - I guess it depends where you cut things.

I simply used hotglue and then reinforced the centre wing join with some tape. In fact I've used smeared hot glue for the elevon hinges too, works a treat.

I don't like UHU - I've found on some foams if you put it on too thick it starts to make the foam spongy.

Yo,

Hot glue is great, its quick and it does not set rock hard, so retains some flexibility like the foam.

CofG is 180mm for stable flight, 195mm would be ok but just on the limit, may spiral out in slow tight turns.

The smaller the number the more nose heavy it is, ie 180mm is more nose heavy than 195mm

Just don't use tape to secure your wiring loom - the foam is oily ....

Have to say when it does make it into the air it flies really really nicely - I do need a power upgrade though, there's something wrong with the motor I'm using for sure so this is a good excuse to get something beasty on it :D

That "flight" was with a 2200mAh + 1000mAh battery up front.
