Good to see it coming together Dizzy. Do you have any feedback on the frame so far? Any things you'd like to see changed? Or are you going to reserve judgement until you've flown it?

I think to be fair to yourself and others i need to fly her first but first impressions are a very nice print and clips together very well indeed Liked by all who have seen and handled the frame so far :D
As it is at present as caused some interest down here so more orders are on the horizon i think  :D

Same here, frustratingly my order with myrcmart didn't ship for at least a week after placing it!
I wish they'd use whatever shipping process that HobbyKing use as like another poster here it got a further delay in customs and was then landed with VAT which I then had to pay ParcelFarce for the honour of paying! :(
All in all not a very satisfactory purchasing experience compared to the extreme rarity of getting customs charges for HobbyKing stuff.
And to top it all their shipping charges seem quite pricy.

Looking on the positive side it has all arrived now :) and very nice they look too.
Admittedly they didn't turn up at work until the day you arrived in Thailand which was unhelpful  >:(
Quite a few propeller's as well which is nice given the rate you seem to getting through them, should be enough for about a weeks flying at the present rate.
PS. Stop abusing my motors and speed controllers as I have your stuff in "protective custody". :P

My motors turned up as well, maybe they all got sent at once. I notice the mounting holes are closer together than with the Turnigy 1811 motors. How are people mounting these.

Edit: scratch that, I've got an old broken leg and that has a range of a slot it will go into.  Not sure about the slightly newer leg, I'll have to double check once I get an old motor off

Dizzy

mounting these little blighters is going to be a problem so i think some adaptors need to be made to keep the weight down :D

I,m working on it and have a couple of idea,s  ;)

Will be interested to see you ideas Dizzy.  The hole space it a bit close together for the newer legs I have, so a question of do I file a little bit out those slits to line the motor up.  Or do I make up a mount of some description to screw the motors into and then screw those to fit in the existing holes

Dizzy

i am having a go at your second idea CurryKitten,  make a pc board mount to screw the motor too then cut out a slightly bigger hole and re drill to screw that too the arm by removing some materiel from the arms it will offset the weight i am adding

Of course the motor screws will have to be countersunk into the pc board for it to lay flat  :)
