Anyone using this motors: http://witespyquad.gostorego.com/motors/sunnysky-x2204-2300kv.html

SunnySky X2204 2300KV, they are pretty good, just waiting for mine to arrive and the frame itself...

They're possibly a bit on the heavy side, mine is flying on HK 1811/2000Kv motors (on 3 cells) which are only 10g each, however the 2300Kv is good as mine at 413g allup hovers at about 60~70 percent throttle and doesn't have much voom!
My brother is about to build a 3 cell K-Quad with 1811/2900 motors although I think I'm going to try some of the TMX 2400Kv motors that someone linked to a couple of pages back.

Weight: 21g each.

Do you think it will be too much? And about the mounting holes, it fits?

CAndrewGreen

Well a TRex 250 (smallish aerobatic collective pitch helicopter) is about 340g with battery. My K-Quad at 413g is already heavy enough before I add a Mobius or 808 camera, so another 44g? Hmmmm.... give it a try, small motors don't break the bank to try.
About the mounting holes, if the slots aren't right a little work with a file should sort it easily, the 1811's fit with no filing but another builder slotted theirs a bit to fit the TMX motors.

Looking good, how come your gains are so low, what esc's are you using?

10amp redbricks not flashed on 1300 3s 30c.
This thing takes off at 30 percent throttle. Stick scaling on throttle now at 60. Almost got it dialed in. Im swapping the board later for a multiwii lite. Just trying to get this close for the lad thts having the kk2.0 off me for his k quad. Although he has 3800kv motors. Mine are 2100 on 5030 gemfans. Going to open up an esc to see if I can flash it with simonk.
Weighs 420grms without fpv gear.

Those motors are brilliant loads of power, the only thing i dont like is the rubber band prop saver.

I strapped a 3700 3s mah under mine and it hovered at 50%.

Hey Edward its Tom! looking forward to trying out a kk2, havent used one before.

got delivery confirmation of my k-quad earlier, cant wait  :D

Im not up to speed on the small sizes of ESC's, is anyone using flashed ones?

mightybubble

Now fpv ready lol, like im gonna get a chance any time soon.
Total AUW is 470grams.

Thanks Krikey for a wicked little quad.

Hey Tom, have a look for some good simonK flashed esc's. Just a shame I didnt look to see if I could flash the tiny red bricks :(

ezroller

had a search around and found this list https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhR02IDNb7_MdEhfVjk3MkRHVzhKdjU1YzdBQkZZRlE#gid=0

seems the red bricks can be flashed but, like my mystery 12a, dont have flashing pads. as you probably already know that means either a flashing pad that lets you connect directly to the atmega or some careful soldering! I've only done an esc without pads once and it was a massive pain in the ass!

shame there werent any 12a afros in stock when i got my parts, I feel these small quads will benefit immensely from flashed esc's

Flypoppa

All sorted and ready to test fly. I hope.the 'hatch' is a block of Bluecore to protect the electrics, and later it may house my FPV.
