hmm trouble with that is more bolts, as the 4 that come with the kit also attach the arms and the legs. I don't want to add more weight to the frame if I can help it.
eh,same arm bolts would go through top and bottom plate...but its up to you mate, your quad ;)
never ever give up...

Just got three Skews from Gav http://www.fpvhub.com/index.php/topic,11108.0.html short one for the K-Quad, long one for my X580 (armless at the moment as I'm fitting some LED's while the weather is poo) and a stiff one (oo'er!) For my FatSharks. Choice of lengths, quick delivery, (very) well packed. Hope to give them a try at the weekend.

Be nice if somebody were to make up a table of motors and types of esc's used for reference, I will hopefully be a proud owner of one of these babies soon But i have found the whole thread a little confusing with so many of you guys using such a huge selection of parts :D

I am thinking 3s would be the way for me to go but really unsure what to purchase motor, esc, props for her, I can't throw huge sums at her so would like to purchase right first time a tried and tested selection of parts  for my build :D

anyone with a really happy to share set up please?
I will be using a frsky rx and KK2 board and 808 for the fpv cam  :)

dizzy :)
I suspect this was not read before the spamming  :+

Hi Dizzy,
I did read it, but I'm not sure that I can offer much of a contribution. I'm using HobbyKing 1811-2000 Kv motors with 6 A Turnigy Plush ESC's and to be honest they're a bit weedy and it hovers at about 65~75% stick, OK indoors but might be a bit of a liability outside!
I suspect that the thin (motor winding) wire is limiting the current that can be drawn, the 6A ESC's certainly don't get hot and they don't even warranty them for 3S use!

My brother is about to build his with 2211-2300 Kv motors with 10 A Turnigy ESC's which ought to have a bit more voom!

I'm running 3S 1000 mAh NanoTechs and he's going to run 3S 1300 mAh NanoTechs.

Realistically for the weight of mine 2000 Kv is just a bit low, so I've ordered some of the TMX 2400 Kv motors that were linked earlier in this thread.

This has turned into a collection of my thoughts on the subject but I hope it helps.
Andrew
P.S. at least motors and ESC's in this size are cheap enough to experiment with!

I'm off to Thailand at the beginning of next month for three weeks, probably take both Quads and a T-Rex 250 (got a ducted fan Vampire on top of the wardrobe over there already!). I've taken models with me the last 5 or 6 times I've been. There's a model club 'Prakasa flying club' that fly a couple of miles from our place in SamutPrakan.

Please stop spamming the thread, and give people a chance to reply! He probably won't give the plans as then you could print them and make money from his design in India, it's just unlucky he's in the UL and you aren't.

He may not care about it and give them but if I was in his position I certainly wouldn't!

Hi sorry about the spamming. I m a new user. Here in India very little RC fans. and getting it shipped here is a headache. So thought if he could help. Anyway am sorry :)
