Angelos,

Believe me I would really love to see your funjet flying especially the launch with a 6S lipo in it, and also see the look on Ian's face if I said 'right, get your gear together we are going to the FPV Bounce'.

The distance and travelling is no problem and we would get all the stuff we need in my car, also it would be great to meet all the lads.

Unfortunately this weekend is:
a) my birthday, my family have made arrangements for a meal out
b) we have relatives from Australia arriving for a 3 week visit (1 week they are going over to France)

So unfortunately I am going to miss meeting up this time round (I know where I would prefer being !) but will be thinking of you all down there when me and Ian are out flying over the weekend (weather permitting).

Have a great time, and I hope it all comes together for the Fujet flight.

Cool Paul but that was a good 200m dive!  :P If we're counting dives my 168mph would be tops to date.  :P

I'm not out of the speed race but I am retiring for the short term, I'm working on my Ute at the mo which needs the video gear from my speedy... oh to have oodles of cash.... I'll see what speeds I can get from anything I'm flying and keep ya posted. I do like a bit of maxage speedage :D

No bounce for me I'm afraid, if it was this time next month I would have been on it as I'm on hols up north... a shame but there will be another I hope.

Great Video mate  150 here we come. :)

I cant record my flight feed, Gary will vouch for it tho as I was very much surprised to see it on the max figures at the end of the flight and had to show him.

Coyote

No video, didnt happen :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

pk-surfing

So will Ian's 191mph with the SW from last weekend count, video recorder went faulty though  ;)

aaaahhh the good old trust in your comrades... FOR THE MOTHERLAND!! :P

I dont know how accurate that was as it was a GPS reading, I'll replicate it just to shut you two up :D

I'll wack a higher pitch prop on for more oomph too.

pk-surfing

Going for 168mph again.... if you end up covering the field in bits of white foam dont blame me.

Anyway you've no chance, I've just ordered a higher powered motor for mine, should be here for the weekend

Its one thing to vouch, yes i saw the figures. But its another thing to believe the figures!

Anyways GPS is rubbish at vertical speed is it not?

pk-surfing

Good point Gary, Pasty must have been rocketing down in that dive if it was showing 168mph (GPS ground speed ?), or was that what it registered after pulling out and flying flat ?

Pasty

It can only register when flying horizontal, in a true vertical dive it'll read zero.

So Gary confirms the GPS reading  :P (whether he trusts the equipment is irrelevant).... but it cant be counted as this is about on the flat speed, which also makes your latest speed disqualified Paul.

Unless we say screw it and go for whatever we can by whatever means :D

Rocket power anyone?! now thats got me thinking :D

pk-surfing

It's all for fun, I'd just like to see more bits of vid posted on here with speeds problem is with GPS based speed (which is all we have with just about any OSD.. I think Eagletree do a pitot tube system) the really fun speeds in a power dive won't give anything of interest.

Thing is we all know that when/if Angelos gets his 6S Funjet launched it's going to be all over whether its flat flight or in a dive !

I have a friend who has a Trex 600 and uses 6S lipos and I must admit the batteries are HUGE

Angelos are you winding us up about this or do you honestly think you are going to be able to launch it....

it'll launch easy with that power :D
