This is a transmitter module, not a complete FPV transmitter. This will need to sit on another PCB with the appropriate regulators, antenna connector (or other appropriate 50Ohm feed to the antenna)  and possibly needs some AC coupling capacitors on the video and audio lines.

it look like some capacitors a battery connector the supplied antenna and a bit of soldering, and bobs your uncle, that's whats advertised on their site, thy recon £3 to finish. lol, if not I will get my electronics friend on the case

Ha steve
I have just fond this setup at Range Video. I couldn't resist it, its so small and light, I'm going to stick it on something small, plane that is.
2g for the transmitter and 1g for the camera and it will all run of a single cell lipo, it will keep the wait down in your speeder, less wait more speed, well worth a look
Camera, Receiver and transmitter all for £77.57 delivered

Hi Gordon

I've been very tempted by their small stuff before but my leccy skills are lacking, I wouldnt know where to start with getting that vTX module up and running. *scared*

My only reservation about that tiny camera is its CMOS, will it suffer from the vibration and go all jello? I'd love that gear on a small slow fly floater type plane I could cruise around my street :). I'm mounting budget gear on it to start with, its likely to end its short life by being slammed into terraferma :D

---------------------------------------------------------------------

After sorting the motor and tidying up some battle scares I took the GWQ out for another test yesterday... and it was only slightly quicker... grrrr!

Last thing before I start swapping parts to find out whats holding it back is the ESC motor timing was default as low so I've ramped that up to high... will it make much difference? we'll find out later.

Even tho shes not going light speed just yet the planform works really well, very smooth yet rolls, banks and turns as hard as you like... great fun little plane.

g.collins

If I manage to get it going I will post up how, I'm going to see a friend today and show him, the diagrams, he's good at that sort of thing.
I'm glad she flies smooth, good luck with the motor timing

hexo

Yeah I really hope the motor timing is going to sort it. We have same motor and plane planform so it must be something like the ESC holding it back.

I've got major pitch issues ONLY at WOT at 90% shes stable in flat flight, put up to 100% and it will dig in and start pitching. Wingwash? Its going strait over the elevator atm for ease of build. Woud a low elev. work as well as a high elevator??? I think not... I might go low wing like steves to fix the problem.

Any thoughts guys? Its only at WOT and flat flying its pitchy.

Pasty

So if this evening any of your hear a sonic boom or the biggest crashing sound you've ever heard.... that'll be us :D

hexo

Bagsie me being the sonic boom!  ^-^

g.collins

I fault that they stopped blasting at The Quarry, Castle-an-Dinas,

I've sorted her!!

Been out testing, gary sorted his pitching with moving therod out a hole on the elevator horn. After an initial disapointment with the high timing I hit the workshop and stuck on the same prop as Gary, the one I had before was the same diameter and pitch but a different make...

holy mumma did the other prop make a difference, she belts around like Garys now.... well chuffed.  :D

Now for fpv gear

Hi Angelos, I found another transmitter, its the same as the one I already found, but with all the work don, it doesn't look that hard to complete min if its the same and it doesn't look like I need a separate PCB. this could be good news for me.
thanks Gordon

sorry Steve its not going to help you with your speed quest, I'm glad your latest tests are more promising. :)

Pasty

You crack on Gordon, I'm not one for stifling discussion.

and if I wanted a super small/light vtx for my speed quest thats it right there ;)

Well, I bought the Typhoon 2W-25 for the Junjet which I was planning to run from a 4S. But... I found two brand new 6S packs in my stash and I am tempted! I just hope the Junjet can carry them. Something tells me I may be setting new FPV speed records soon :D

-Angelos

Pasty

Damn it Angelos that really is a speedy motor, we're going to have to up our game but we certainly wont be pushing to 6s!

Hows the assembly going?

After our initial excitement we need more, speed runs last night were only giving us around 90 on the flat... not bad for a cheap setup but certainly not as fast as we're aiming for... we need 100+!

I cant afford sparkly motors like Ange but I'll try and see what we can do on a budget... inrunners seem the way to go?

g.collins

You should set a budget limit, its easy to throw lodes of cash at a problem if you have it, just look at the haves and have note's in F1.

If you set the budget limit it is likely that you will be racing on your own and still someone else will have the fastest FPV flight. See what happened to F1: Renault join F1 pull-out threat

Anyhow, until I found the 6S pack yesterday I didn't even think I had a chance as the expected speed with the 4S is around 120mph which is peaty docile. It will be a good laugh regardless who wins it... not to mention we will be flying circles around the Skywalker boys :D
