Perfect fit 2x 4s 5200mah and center of gravity is right. Bit heavy 2.4kg will be flying brick. At least 10400mah :)

Looks neat and tidy, ready for the maiden?
:)"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads." :)

Yes. Hopefully in Saturday or Sunday. I need to somebody will throw that brick. I found one pilot near me who will help me. I fate maiden flight. You can build plane for 2 mounts and then destroy it immediately.

Brucey

Don't forget to film it!
Remember full throttle and a good throw, good luck!

The plane is unforgivable. In mayden flite i hade crash and fiber rod break.. there was no way that i could take the fiber rod out of wing and replaced. The venturi evo is in bin :(

Brucey

Oh, how come it crashed? On launch?

facedown

Yes on lunch. :(  what difference between venturi 2 and 3?

That was a lot of weight in it for a maiden

Did you film it so we can see what went wrong?
Yeah a maiden with 10000 mah was not a good idea.

The new vent has an extra spar towards the front and a bigger battery bay. Same wings.

Nex time when i will buid plane first flight will be just empty plane  no fpv. And no extra camera.  Just empty as light plane and teimit before add extra weight.

Well, my Venturi Evo is just about finished, having taken months of steadily putting it together.  I think most folk could have done it in a week or two but I've been trying to fit the build in between work and running round after 3 young children .... I just never seem to get 5 minutes to myself.  Most work on the plane seems to have been in the early hours of the morning !

Anyway, grumble, grumble, it's just about done.  I've utilised as much gear as poss from my expired Z2 to cut down on cost and reign in what seems to be becoming an ever increasingly costly hobby. I see what you other guys on the hub are doing and trying and want to try them myself ....  which means more money.  I blame you all !

So this has my FY41ap , NTM 35-42 motor, a couple of 3300mah turnigy batts, and Frsky L9R rx and 2x mg standard servos from the Z2,   a new   aomway 600mw vtx,   effio & mobius cams, turnigy sbec, rotorstar 60a esc.... & some bits of lego.

Doing a bit of recycling has made it a cheapish build, which was the reason for trying the Venturi instead of another Z2.

Anyway, fingers crossed for a maiden soon.

pics attached.....

Weight = 2.25Kg

I think I threw out the winglets by mistake  or the kids have half inched them, so cut some more Z2 styly.

Looking good. Good luck with the maiden

Are you going to use your bungee ramp or hand launch it?
