Thanks, I've got a set of smaller ones too.
I will maiden tomorrow IF Jim gets back to me in time!
What field is that? The normal one in Olney?

Yes mate, the one near my old house with the beacon.

Simon, unless it's absolutely freezing I'll be up there, charging batteries now! I'll text you when I leave but I'm hoping to be up there about 11:30ish.

I'll also have the Rocket Raven with me.

Ok so decided to go for a different colour scheme.

Great choice!

I know you were just seeing what it looks like, but you know those elecons were the wrong way round?

Can't decide which servos to use. Futaba S9202 (standard size) or corona ds929mg (micro).

Standard size.

Finished! Well just the wing tips to stick on (any suggestions?) And a config for Ruby from Jim.
It's worked out 300g lighter than before. Can't wait to try it!

Just in case you couldn't quite make out the detail on the underside of Brucey's Evo, here's a close-up:

Hehehe,

Same incident , different perspective.

Awesome!
Maiden went well, just a touch to much up trim for the initial launch, but nothing a bit of power couldn't deal with ;D

Very nice work on those Venturi's

Yeah standard size servos. I'm using hitec 5485hb which are digital and with the karbonite gears

Or you can check the 635hbs if you want analog.
Got the recommendation from dogzilla.

Looks like a good day Yesterday! Those Venturis look great.

Is everybody using standard servos for this build?

Yep', Hitec HS645MG analogues in mine.

Think I'll order some of the digitals for mine then. Is a 60A (80A burst) ESC enough? Or do I really need an 80A? Was looking at this -

I only use analogue because they're reported to emit less RF noise.

You'd get away with a 60A ESC so long as you retro-fit a PC northbridge heatsink to it, TBH I'd still do that with an 80A ESC (and have done on mine).

This guy on eBay sells heatsinks of various sizes which I've used on ESC and VTX kit.
