Yeah - it's typical for the US I'm afraid. 

When I lived in South London, I never had a problem... must be the volume of mail they have in each area perhaps which allows a higher number to be stopped and reviewed at clearance through customs...  HK is never a problem, but US, I usualy dont bother with.

top tip guys. If you order from HobbyKing in the future DONT chose the option that says "Royal Mail Parcel" even if it's a little bit cheaper. That's when parcel force get their mucky little mits on your gear and charge you for the privilidge.

I had a charge from customs for £8 on my 9X(and other stuff) from HobbyKing, but I had to pay parcel force another £8 on top for their "admin fees".

Always choose EMS or whatever the cheapest is, as long as it's not "Royal Mail Parcel"

What type of stabilising gyro have you used; does it fit inline between the aileron servo & rx ??

Its a FrSky TFR6 receiver and the giro is a simple single wire Pico Piezo Gyro, I had laying around.

Any idea what the all up weight of Minty with keyfob cam attached?

My carrot long wing version is weighing in at an enormous 120 gram without motor and esc.

the culprits are Rx 35meg full range at 14 gram, and 350mah 2s battery at 22gram, Think I should dump these or what?

I think it was about 130g but i'm sure you will be all right with 150g.

A friend is going to lend me an frsky 35mhz micro rx to try, supposed to be full range, probably be much lighter than the Corona synthesized one I had in the spares box.

there's a new chapter coming up, are friendly neighborhood Simon man, is selling Spyhawk spears, so I have ordered some of the wings with a wing span of :843mm, to try and fit them to a Fox, could be interesting because the original ones are only 500mm long
