Not FPV related, my sister-in-law gave me an Amazon voucher as a belated birthday gift (it was back in May !)  So I bought myself this little Neopixel board to play with

I always keep thinking of playing with light in some way, and was just helping out a friend animate something using LED's, but because he needed to keep it simple, he ended up paying quite a bit for a board that would sequence the LEDs for him.  So I intend this to be my little testbed for perhaps moving to something bigger

Not really 'arrived' as such, but left a wind turbine printing last night on the N2+, came in this morning to find:

Print looks good but the model actually isn't great. The blades are stepped rather than smooth and they don't fit flush into the hub by design. I need to find a motor to plug in to it now!

Micro Minim plus and FTDI Interface Tool.

A Tiny OSD, removed the MultiWi Firmware and programmed it with Arduplane.  3 Screen Modes if I want them and the OSD layout of my choosing...:)

I really like it so far. No problems creating or uploading to this Tiny PCB. I have an APM 2.8 arriving Wednesday, a full blown AP with waypoint capability, OSD, GPS and a Power Module all for £55..?....Can't be bad.

Ask me again when I have it working though, I know it's a bit yesterday, but I like it...... :flying:

Minim OSD, in case..With KV Team Mod....

Runs on 5vdc both ends, arrives ready to use, just add Firmware of your choosing
Has the side pin out holes too for those not running a full APM.

So much better than the Micro Minim for Plane use.....The Micro Minim is a bit awkward with Pins coming out the side and no case. Difficult to even Heat Shrink wrap it due to the Pins.
  I like this one...:)

Source......E-Bay.....UK supplier.

Dupont type Servo wires and plugs....:)

Avoiding stripping and crimping my own, simply remove the single sockets and place into a multi connector, or use as individuals.
This is so I can standardise my Cameras and VTXs with 3 wire Servo cables, and make up others.
Source, E-Bay.

Some bits from flyingwings.co.uk - DTFUHF 6 channel Rx, Fixadrone 433MHz dipole and a Runcam 2 lens extension. All going in the FX-61!

This is my first printer so I don't have anything to compare it against.

I ordered from the Technology Outlet store which is in the UK and delivered the printer next day.

Setting it up was OK till I tried to level the bed. No matter what I did it just wasn't happening. After some googling I levelled the bed bearing rods and I was then able to level the bed within 5 minutes.

Print quality looks good and probably will improve with some tinkering.

I have only had 1 print failure and that was down to Cura and not the printer.

For the price I don't think you could find another Prusa based printer out there. You would have to spend a lot more cash for any discernible improvement.

So far it has been going for 14.44 hours and has used 58.3 meters of filament.

I hope this has helped.

Mark.
