I paid £11.80 for this and it's fantastic... it even has WDR.

Flight test to follow, but I'm super impressed by how it handles light changes in the garage. I also love how it is cased (and the case is flat) so it can be mounted properly. The other camera I bought for £5 from Banggood was decent enough but didn't have WDR and was uncased (which I don't like as it makes mounting difficult ... ooer).

Hi Steve....Have you tried running an OSD over the image yet...?....Last time I had one of these excessive TV line Cameras it flickered like buggery on the text....:(

3S Lipo Power Hot Glue Gun......7mm Sticks.

Fed up of my mains gun providing a torrent of hot glue, (plus its temp would drift down sometimes) I got this little gun from Hobby King, and the sticks too.

Bought it mainly for fixing wires in place and edge gluing of my Depron Scratch builds if it will work without melting it.
Unlike the mains one, it can provide a thin bead of glue just where you want it. Heats up in about 2 mins from cold.
I could also take it to the field for repairs if needed.
  £2.50p from HKUK.

It's fine mate, hooked it up on my Mini Talon to replace the £5 one I had one and it's perfect. Not flown with it yet though, but no issues on throttle up etc...

Well actually these arrived yesterday...

The beginning of a new build
ESCs HGLRC BS28A BLHeli - S 28A

I really like that they don't come soldered up. I'll be putting some nice silicone wire for the signal and the other wires are fine.

Nice looking motors and a (little) step up (I think?) from my usual racerstar motors. Have quite short wires so wouldn't be too good for an all in one build but you can see that I've gone down the separate ESC route anyway. I'll let you know what other parts I got as it comes in and maybe do a final build too.

Some random bits today

A FrSky XM+ rx as I managed to blow the last one up whilst not paying enough attention when flashing the firmware and reversed the polarity.

A 2.5mm frame for the Aurora 100 - I was just hedging my bets in case the Firer 110 frame didn't work out, but I might transport the bits from the awful Monster 76 and see if it works any better.

In the RunCam box is a replacement 2.3mm lens for the Micro Swift.  My last one was all shaky, and RunCam identified a problem and so sent this new one out.  i also got the orange mount for it as I managed to shear off a screw in the original one

Which lens was it you said was best for quads with high angled cameras so you could still see where you were landing Wayne ? 2.1's ?
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Yes - I've been able to tilt the 2.1mm lens right up so i can fly fast, but there's still enough ground to land comfortably.  To be fair I haven't tested the 2.3mm yet - but obviously it won't be as wide.  I'm interested to know if the horizon still looks curved though

Coyote

I might order one then to try. Thanks :)

Something a bit different arrived to review from Banggood today.  I do tend to steer away from the toy-grade stuff (although just posted a review of one because I could make a video about it with my daughter)  However, I was interested in this because it's almost a hybrid - sitting between a toy/hobby grade thing.

It seems to have reasonable GPS hold, RTH and quite decent info on the Radio - proper brushless motors... oh and it's shiny and has eyes.  It's not trying to be an AV quad though, just something to fly around - presumably very easily. We'll see though, I haven't taken it out of the box yet.

Probably not a review I'll post here, but looking forward to having a play.

may be something my grandson could fly, be interesting to see how it fly's.

Oh, interesting! One thing I was thinking whilst flying mine, theres a lot of screen prodding and setting up, how do you do that with the goggles? Or is it just assumed that you have it all set up then stick the goggles on and use the buttons on the Tx to start/stop recording etc?
