The weather's been so crap there's been no chance. Rob's even managed to build one in the time I've been waiting for some decent weather, and he's the world's slowest builder.

The kit comes with a block of foam cut to profile which you can then fit the cameras into and Rob's done a really good job with his. I will upload the modular files to Thingiverse so people can print if they want. I haven't managed to get hold of a lot of samples though, so only have Mobius, GP3 and the PZ0420m.

This is annoying me now. I stuck some FPV gear on my Radian which is fun for floating around but no good in anything other than flat calm conditions.

I might have to order another one soon, this time will be EzUHF for control and 1.3 video. Removable wings too I think. I may as well fit my EzOSD too. On a side note, I made use of the HK sales so got some EzUHF gear. I've tested it on the Radian and it seems very good - at 26 quid for a JR tx module and a receiver I couldn't say no. Was cheaper to get that than a decent openlrs system and will do the job for me fine. I've just got to sort out a ppm-pwm decoder circuit then I can have 10 usable channels. The only slight issue I've found with it thus far is that the latency is noticeably higher than say a Frsky X series system, but still perfectly usable.

As for the power stuff, a new toy means I have 6s 5000mAh packs available. I wouldn't mind getting a decent motor and running it on 6s - only issue is that the packs may not fit. Dimensions are 150 x 50 x 52mm. Or should I just do it properly and get some 4s 4000s or whatever it needs?

I'll definitely get another one either way, the kit is only 70 quid and it does fly really well.

The bay will take that Sheldon, I have just measured it, but there's no way I can couch for the CG balancing up.

No problem, I'll use a bigger motor :)

But OK, I'll get proper lipos then. What would you recommend as the most efficient motor choice? I'm not hugely worried about speed but it would be nice. I could use the Emax motor I had on the last one but it might be a bit lethargic with the larger packs. Speaking of the lipos, would you suggest the 3300s as before or move up to 4000?

Thanks. It's the Ritewing motor that comes in their 4s pack. Think its very similar to the OS motor. It's what I've used on my last two venturi's

You mean the thing where I have to hold the wing dead still sideways on in 30mph winds at the top of a hill while you try to read a load of gobbeldygook off a bit of folded up paper while scratching your head and randomly flicking switches on your transmitter?

Finally! Like bloody buses, you wait a month for a Venturi FPV Evo 2 maiden and three come all at the same time!

Brucey, Rob and I braved it in the fog at a new flying site yesterday and got all three flown, Bruno was up first, then me, then Rob.

As Bruno only had his DVR running (so it actually happened) I'm not sure if we'll see his footage, Rob only LOSed his so technically it didn't happen.

Here's mine though:

Overall I'm pretty happy with the performance, although I've reluctantly admitted that running a 9x9 prop is overdoing it a bit, I'm now relegated to a 9x7.5.  :(

Can't wait for the weather to pick up so we can get some great air to air going on.

Nice - I'd completely missed this thread and so the mk 2 came as a complete surprised.  Looks great though - lots of space.

I'm even more impressed that you at least edited to the video to such a point that there's even an intro  :o
