OK, the 117 is cased I believe, the bay I produced takes the board cam uncased.

I'm open for talk on how the 117 could be integrated as I know it's a top shelf camera.

Thanks Neil, just looking at it now I've got back home. The 117 is also available as a board cam so being that it is already well protected in this design of yours I would happily used the uncased version,

It says a 6 hour print so going to set it off tomorrow, see how it turns out :)

Thanks Brucey, I am planning on a few ideas. One being after watching at Mad Dogs the problem with the glued spars and the center section failing. I'm looking at making it 3 part and able to be disassembled.

I think mine died more as a result of dodgy build, mine was the first Vent off the line and in those days they only had one spar rather than the two which made gluing the wings to the fuse a bit tricky. I defo' recommend using Gorilla Glue rather than POR on the joint between the foam and the ply section and the second spar helps keep the wing aligned during the cure.

The detachable wings sound interesting though, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Came home this morning to the canopy print finished. Thanks Neil, looks great ! :)

The GoPro bay was too small for the camera, needed a bit of help from Mr Dremel to get it in :)

Hehehe, yeah Mr Dremmel beats Mr Hammer when working with 3D prints any day :)

Well after having a better look at it, then looking at Neil's live cam videos I can't really see any advantage of going with the 177 camera. So I bought the PZ0420M from Rob at Flyingwings so it will just pop straight in there instead.

What length throws and how much reflex are people using? There is no mention of either in the manual.

Probably won't help much but..
Reflex, for maiden I normally use the bottom of the wing as a reference and follow that line with the elevon. Always ends up as too much but it's on the safe side.

As for throws, I've never measured mine (and I can't now anyway ha!) but I had the servo on the inner hole and the elevon on the outer. That normally makes it twitchy at cruise, but handy for slow speeds. Then dual rate of 50%

Thanks Bruno. Well it's all pretty much in one piece, the camera has arrived so I can now fit the front pod. I have though decided to dump the plush 60a ESC and ordered a YEP 100a esc and go down Neil's route for power. So the OK but gutless SK motor will be coming off as well.
