If it doesn't go..... I'll still keep it in mind.
FPV - The unusual hobby of flying £££'s miles away from you in the hope you see it again.

foamster

All back in stock now, supplier of foam changes lead times like the wind direction.

Im planning to do a vinyl set for the vent like mine, and one for the falcon, in a few colours.

The vent one is based loosely on the ferrari f1 car and the falcon will be based on the renault f1 car, the two best colour schemes out there me thinks.

Just apply them after lamming the wing, can be a bit tricky to avoid bubbles

Good luck- but of up trim to be safe, full throttle into the wind and a firm level throw and she will fly out of your hand.

Brucey

Good luck, you certainly won't loose that in the grass!

Bertie

Thanks for advice chaps...... she flew!
Trims were way off but I used RTH to launch. I doesn't feel as nimble as my old evo, which I`m kinda missing now.
It was a fun build but I`m not sure I`m gonna keep it as the size of it is a bit of a pain.

Billy_boy_2010

Spend some time getting the throws and expo sorted, dual rates and the CG right and you should find her nice and agile.

If she's quite nose heavy it will make her less agile.

You either like the size or you don't, the ability to carry 6-8000maH of 4s lipo is pretty nice- hence the popularity of the Evo and Zephyr.

I had two 3300mah 4s batts in it. it was up for at least 25 minutes.
I don't drive so lugging this to my flying field along with my quads is a bit of a pain. I may well stick with it but I`m gonna build another Evo. It flew spot on from the first launch, well apart from the time a servo gave up and smashed into the ground  :o

Another factor is I only have two batts for this plane but a stack of 3s for an Evo  :D

Had a few more flights in the week, still not doing it for me. Its going to be rehomed with a friend in Wales.
Gonna build another Evo

Coyote

Well I pulled the trigger today and bought one :)

I can't see your 3D designs for the PZ or GP3 on Thingiverse Neil. Did you upload them ?

Sorry; I've been away all weekend and just getting back to things. I didn't upload them because they are "modular" and need assembling first in something like MeshLab or Solidworks. The board cam accepts a PZ0420M at the moment and I do have a GP3 version I managed to do on my plastic 3D printer for Brucey.

If you're OK with the PZ0420M + GP3/4 version then I can upload that for you. If you need another type of board cam we may have to play with the dimensions a little.

Neil.
