max resolution for project output is 1080p and max framerate is only 30fps

I tried that, took ages to download and looked nothing like the tutorial videos.

Shotcut 16.03 is far too basic, even windows movie maker has more features and a more intuitive GUI

Final Cut Pro X.  I used to use iMovie, but it didn't quite cope with everything I wanted to do.  FCPX is far easier for just dropping stuff where you like it and being able to make different resolutions/frame rates work together

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't that a Mac program only?

It's really good. I can tell it's very powerful yet it's not too complicated that it would put off a noobs like me

That's what I am looking for, something simple to use like moviemaker but something that doesn't screw up hd footage from an action camera by over compression or need hours and hours of tutorials.

Time to try the sample later today I think.

Well I just downloaded it and its horrible on my machine.  The trial version wont allow me to import any of my MP4 files from the hard drive or from the camera (Git2 or Mobius), doesnt seem to like 1440 x 60FPS.  Is this the same on your sample or have I downloaded something else?

I've imported and edited both raw MP4s from my GoPro as well as GoPro Studio converted clips, both were processed fine.

They were 1080p/60fps

However, the image stabilisation isn't very good on some of the clips I tried

Downloaded the trial version and its horrible on my machine.  My trial version wont let me download from the Mobius or the Git2, doesnt like HD clips,(wants to create a "shadow" whatever that is then doesnt).  Maybe my computers to old for it.  Also the wizard wont let me delete the"style" it imposes.
Maybe its just me!
I'll delete is, update the graphics drivers and try again.
