People voted for an economic union not a political one, they were lied to like you're being lied to now.

The irony is regarding Hitler is industrialists and banks funded the nazi party. The same banks and large corps lobby the EU. More harmonisation and political union in the future is no good for anyone. No one voted for a political union setting some of our laws and reducing the RF power of my Taranis.

I just think that with all the plans, procedures, jobs etc being in the EU now has in its favour, they're not just simply going to cut the umbilical cord and see us drift away. It's too far gone. I will however, make sure my vote gets taken into account.

I was one of those people who voted in the 70's and I voted no. However if memory serves there was no mention of all these other countries becoming 1 nation. It was sold to the UK as the EEC or Common Market, not losing our sovereignty. I can remember getting a lecture on the importance of the country remaining independent, the commonwealth, Magna Carter, and what makes GB great, from my father, who saw action in WW2. I believe the in vote then was 52% and the out was 47% with a low turnout of 42%.

Question Every Nation Needs to Ask

Let's for a moment presume the US, Mexico, Canada, Honduras, Guatemala were in an "Amero Agreement" with each country having equal say.

Here's the revised question "Do you want the Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala, even without the approval of US Congress, to be able to prescribe the mandatory resettlement of non-US citizens in the US?"

That is exactly what's happening in Europe.

The US would never cede foreign policy to Mexico and Honduras, so why should the UK, Hungary, or Poland cede policy to a group of other nations?

If you're feeling confident then get down the bookies.  Last I looked it was about 80% odds on remain.  Not that the bookies are always right but I think they have probably called it this time.  I don't see the public at large voting for an isolationist movement backed by utter fruitcakes like Boris and UKIP and with no actual clear plans about a whole raft of issues.  We'll soon see but at those odds I might even stick a few tenners on leave myself even though I'll be voting the other way.

My main fear is that too many people will simply NOT vote at all, either because they don't understand the gravity of the situation or are too ignorant to give a 5h1t.

I've had to sit my wife down and explain why I will be voting to leave, else she wasn't going to bother herself the trip down to the polling station.

I think far too much of the campaigning on the STAY side is aimed at the financial side of things... they know people get touchy when it comes to money.

I also hate that when a LEAVE person argues the case for border control etc, they get branded as xenophobic or even racist. But the clue is in the title... border CONTROL, not border CLOSURE. This country should be able to construct their own list of eligibility criteria, not have it forced upon the country.

I agree with you BlueFlyer... there are many who think "it's a load of bull" but they'll be first to complain when they're impacted by things that they failed to vote against. Sadly this is a British trait where it is  seen as camaraderie between people who can't even wire a plug or use a computer mouse. "oh i'm so dumb, ha ha" "ha ha, me too" ... Erm actually maybe we should vote to stay in :o :laugh:

No Eu legislation or EU directives wont change until the Government invoke article 50 in the event of a Brexit which can be implemented anytime up to 2 years after a vote. But whats to say in staying in that new EU directives will start to effect the Hobby in this country and even over ride our own CAA etc. You can't vote out any EU commissioners because its not democratic.

As a side note if you want to vote on the EU you need to register by June 7th Lots of people don't know that.
