So I'm a bit late too all this, but have just started constructing my MT :)

Motor - NTM Prop Drive 3536 1400KV or NTM 3548 1000KV (Haven't decided yet, but have both lying around)
ESC - EFlite Pro 40A
Prop - TBD - APC 8-10
Battery - Multistar 5200 / 8000 MAh
Servos - Hitec HS65MGs all round
FC/AP - Pixhawk FMUV2 w/ Airspeed, 60A Power module and LEA6H 3DR GPS or generic M8N GPS, still deciding on placement.
FPV Camera - TBD - Either Eachine CCD 1000TVL or a nice sony Effio V
HD Camera - TBD - Likely downward facing Gopro on feed switcher.
Video - 2.4 / 5.8 hot swap
OSD - MinimOSD running MWOSD
Control - OpenLRS (+ 3DR Telem Backup)

I'd really like to avoid cremating motors, hence the slightly larger ones I'm planning to use. I've also 3D printed out some NACA ducts to feed directly into the motor recess. I don't know exactly how well they're going to work, but the have to be better than nothing :)

I seem to have building my MT for what seems like ages but having a 2yr old I'm only able to snatch time here and there. Oh and the 4 week wait for my motor! Your setup looks far more advanced than mine. I'm throwing a vector in mine and an L9R. I'm not far off gluing mine up. Then I'll probably be too petrified to throw it up!

Agreed 100%, the Mini Talon is VERY easy to build tail heavy and then it'll be a massive handful (trust me).

I'll fit the 1400KV one - only 60g heavier than the sunnysky and I can jig around the rest of the aircrafts electronics to shift the weight forward. If it isn't playing ball, I'll just source another motor.

Question for Blueflyer - ill be using the Sunnysky X2216 1250Kv setup on mine.

I have a shed load of these 3300 4S packs



Would you build it to take 2 in parallel or go with a single pack?

The packs weigh around 360g each.

I took a chance and bought these off ebay... just arrived and they fit around the motor mount perfectly.

Went out for my first flight of 2017 with the Mini Talon, sunshine, clear skies, what could go wrong.
Flying over Brierley wood and a bird of prey thought I was lunch, watched him turned round and made a head-on pass at me then tried to sneak up from behind for the kill. Power on 10degs of elevator pitch and 50mph.
Bandits at 3 o'clock low, tally-ho, dag-a-dag-a-dag
Funny, I kept on scanning around and looking behind to make sure I wasn't going to get bounced by the hungry swine lol.
