Slow coach ;) :)

Haha, that was in level flight I'll have you know :-P 7x4 prop so now the esc is sorted I'll have to stick the 7x5 back on

Had my maiden today, flew really well! Overhead launch was easy, bit of trim and it was flying well! I've got iNav on and Omnibus F3 in it and that needs some tuning, but overall I'm really happy! Can see this being my go-to plane, seemed to handle well at all speeds and 15-20 minute flight times are easy with 5200mah on board!

I have the Cobra 1700kV but I was struggling to get over 90mph on a 7x4, will need to order a few other props to try. What are you using Jake?

I also ordered some of the COB LED's Badlands mentioned, but they haven't arrived yet. Spotted some cheap COB LED keyrings in b&m bargains, a white and a red for £4. They run off 6v but are happy st 5v, and they come with a little module and switch to cycle through 3 modes - full, medium and flashing. Work really well! Will do a video on them shortly.

Glad to hear the maiden went well Ewan.It really is a great plane,it feels so locked and has a great turn of speed.
Your launch angle looks quite steep,I did start off launching steep and it does get away well, but have also found I can lower the angle and get away a bit flatter providing I give her enough power.
My setup is below:
4S Multistar 5200
5.8 Vtx
L9R receiver
Cyclops Storm
7X5 APC style prop
BLHeli 60a
Cobra 2814/10 1700 Kv

Here`s a video my buddy Simon took following me with his MT(I was having to fly quite slow)

Yeah, I launch almost vertical over my head, I find it gives you much more time to get on to the sticks and with something with this much power it's no problem! My setup is almost identical, will order a 7x5 prop and see how that goes. Cheers!

Another successful maiden here...

A few little niggles but she fly's really well.

The wings detach from the velcro on EVERY landing - a little bit annoying but no biggie...

It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense...

Anyone got any current readings at max throttle for the cobra motor ideally with a 7x5 prop and 4s batteries?

Nice one Ta!  I've just ordered an Axi 2814/10 to go in mine.  Looks to be about the same as the cobra, apart from a touch more spendy.  Should be here tomorrow though!

Has anyone used plastidip on theirs?  Just wondering how it holds up to general wear and tear, without any lam film on....

Axi motor has arrived.  It's a bloody tight fit in the motor mount, I'm going to have to remove a mm or two of material off the mount to make sure there is clearance for it to rotate.

I did a dry assemble of the airframe too.  It feels rather heavy for its size.  And that's without any lam film on or paint too.  I'm hoping to finish the build, and setup the Vector FC at Weston park this weekend, if anyone is going?
