2.4Ghz but I think my GPS unit was originally too close to the vector.
It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense...

A little more progress on mine:

Nice one,  The cameras look nice and snug in the nose there!  I've decided mine will be an FPV cam only most of the time, and if I want to sling a HD cam on it, I'll look at one of those runcam splits, or just velcro a cam to the top.  I'm saving the Mini Talon for lugging the gopro around :)

Just got the ailerons to hinge, and install the control links, and mine will be ready to fly.

I had the same thought, he runcam split is the ideal camera for this aircraft. Problem for me is I had a RC2 and 2 x RC Eagle's laying around so couldn't justify spending on another new camera  :+ like yourself I wouldn't lug a gopro round on the MD, just wrong size/shape for the airframe and would ruin aerodynamics.

to keep the RC2 in place im glueing the tray/mount that comes with it into the nose, that way I don't need any straps etc to ruin the airflow over the nose.

Sounds like you're close to getting yours in the air, I'll do a bit of work on mine this weekend. Leading edge of wing and elevons will be plati dipped in red and then it's onto installing electronics.

Jake, don't talk Christmas yet!  :-X

Thats looking awesome Adam, like the red scheme. Did you choose the red corroplast when you ordered or is it just random what you get?

AdamG

Cheers  ;D I asked for black and got red  \0/ So i guess its random.

Happy with the colour so far though, going to do the red plastic dip tomorrow I think. Will post pics of the finished paint job  :D

£10 plus a couple of quid to post them out, they fit in a little jiffy bag, so it's not too bad.

There's one last kit left too, just waiting for someone to buy it!
Hi, did you get my PM asking if this was still available?

So the red plastic dip is done. Elevons are laying on the floor behind it in these pics but you get the idea. I'm actually very happy with the results, colour scheme looks better than I imagined  :D

I do like the mini over the full fat Drak, it just looks more practical than huge batteries to drag around a heavy frame.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Hi everyone, I've taken the last Mini Drak, very much looking forward to the build. I'm admiring the colour schemes you have achieved but am not familiar with Plastidip that seems popular. Is this what you are using?

Are you spraying or brushing it on?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Spray it on, its the easiest paint job i've ever done, its virtually impossible to get runs.

Hi Sundee, thanks for that, I was planning to laminate but might give it a go.
