I got mg90's in mine, a few extra grams here and there won't matter, mine are 14g a pop. Make sure you sink them in flush... unlike Gordon ;)

Excellent. That is what I have already. Pleased that I can use them, just was not sure about the weight . don't know how critical it is on these planes.

Don't worry about the weight, pasty's is the weight of an Elephant and it sort of flies.

Is the flush bit really important then?

I don't notes a difference mate, when there's a camera stuck on the front entryway, it flies great.
Talking of Flying great, hear is the latest new camera test, and I palled some G's to see if the clovers still give a clear view, whilst spinning and as you can see its fine, these things cover ground quick.

Geez, I nearly threw up I got so giddy there G, you could have warned us  ;D

Do I detect a bit of a 'smudgy' image running from top to bottom in a narrow band on the left of the video G?

If so, mine does exactly the same when viewed through my goggles (and recordings), maybe it's an inherent thing with them?

Nigel.
You're only jealous 'cos the voices aren't talking to you  :D

Splashy

Great ! I need a bigger field !

I was putting it down to the new camera Nigel, I fault the lens was skew or something, I haven't noticed it with my over ones, but I just had a look and its defo the camera, it is on all the little cameras, including the 1g ones from Simon, I don't notes it in the Fat Shark goggles.
I have a good camera on the mini Sky walker 5.8 setup and its fine, as you can see in this clip.
close as you like.mp4

Lol, the Park jet dose make a big filed feel small Splashy.

These limited Parkjets arent far off the 100mph mark ;)

You're welcome to join but the PJ class is a limited class so you have to run the same airframe and motor, we'll be running a few classes one of which being unlimited, your fun fighter could compete in that  but a 100mph fun fighter is going to be slow compared to other racers in the class. I'm tempted to get another PJ or the mini radjet and run 4-5cell with a much higher kv motor, should be good for nudging 140mph.

The great thing about running the smaller light foam airframes is that they dont need large expensive gear to get them going fast, we're going bleddy quick with the limited PJ's on 15 quids worth of motor, esc and lipo.

Oh I found a little qwerk of the PJ, zero the throttle and stick it into a spin with full elevator and aileron, let it spin up a bit then slam in opposite aileron, it snaps the other direction and goes into a much faster spin which is unrecoverable via flight controls, you need to let go of aileron, elevator and give it full beans on the throttle to get it to push out of the spin.

This type of spin is quite common on this type of planform.

Give it a go, its pretty cool :)

Do it with a bit of height mind as it can take a few spins for the motor to push it out.

on the video at 117 in, It was spinning in the wind and it suddenly went in to a flat spin and I nearly lost it, I dropped of the throttle, because I thought it was bust, then managed to pull out before it crashed.  :o G
