Well that went ok. had todo a little mod to get the gopro live out cable in, just added a little 10x20mm wood chip to the top of the seat brace then removed the original section to allow the cable plug to enter, and take a little of the bottom right of the fpv cam mount to get the angle to insert plug.
P&T sorted.

Sholed of sead mate, because that model has the analog camera, I didn't bother with the live cable mod.

Got a few bits and bobs, but still no UBEC gggrrr.

found some kind of telescopic fibreglass measuring stick in the street a while back, thought might come in handy one day it did locating holes in stable/barn roof as it goes near enough to point and can poke through and the one above can find it and patch it :). anyways.

so i have used the largest part of it to extend my tripods hight, and if i wanted to go higher all i have todo is insert another section and it goes up another metre or so each time and there are 6 sections :). meanwhile the other 5 sections can be used as a flag pole.

First up i made a base to fit my tripods quick release out of mdf and a slither of ply.


then insert that into the pole clip it in sorted.



the top came with a nice real hard cork/plastc/rubber type bung in it to hold it all in, so all im going todo is order a 1/4 UNC x 1" Socket Capscrew bolt "like the std tripod mount that fits on my gopro tripod mount screw that in and pop it back in the top.




also made some pod mounts with m4 tee nuts, just forgot to order bolts with above bolt order lol.


OK im just waiting on the weather now to maiden it.
all up weight is 1080g with 2200mah battery and gopro.
any idea on flight times?

Sapnin peeps, all went togeather well had a few issues with Tilt on P&T servos changed that over to metal gears so far so good, maiden it the other day LOS got to give it a good chuck to launch, but once up all was good. and my first FPV now in the bag with the trusty Bixler Happy Days  :laugh:

i am getting just over 10 minutes and putting back 1300Mah on charge. just running a few packs through it now and then see what's left in the tank should be able to stretch that out a little :)

Fantastic thread, enjoyed following your progress. Like you before this build, I'm now doing the rounds putting together some idea for my own first FPV build. What sort of results are you getting with Range/Signal quality? How much do you think it's cost you? (I'm about to pull the trigger on my Bixler order).

Looking forward to seeing more videos.
