I will try my best to get there - problem is that I'm away the weekend before at a Helicopter world record attempt (my second year at this) so getting another day pass is an issue - sad old git that I am.... anyway, I will try and get there even if its just to say hello.

Gawsh! Quite a few coming over. Thats great! I flew Stoney X last night, 10 mph wind great views (I swear my camera makes it feel higher than it is. But there was very little gust so for the most part the plane was very stable. I also got the opportunity to actually use my goggles which is great! Up till now its always been someone else using them.

Nice, that's about as smooth as I've seen a Spyhawk fly.  I really like the area, nice and open.  Makes me think that even I could fly fixed wing without too many disasters.

Thats about the best spyhawk vid ive seen!! couldn't ask for better than that tbh eh!! Im gonna try and get up there this week one evening if I can shake this man flu!! Nice landing too!

Don't mean to be a miserable git, but you might get in to trouble flying any sort of models there. They introduce a local law specifically for us.... Nice eh!
Real shame as it was a great place to fly until we met the rangers...

Suggest
get away from the road,
hide behind bushes,
fly a quite plane away from poeple and horses,
avoid campsite,
avoid busy weekends when rangers are out

Probably get a warning 1st time.

The female ranger is pretty hot BTW. Doesn't respond well to being asked to have sex there though... !

I flew for about an hour, and it started getting dark. Took a few more vids but not much more full FPV. I relied on the built in display on the SpyHawks TX to get some bearings at some points like lining up with the road running down the side of the old airfield. Some of the finals were gliding in from a couple of hundred feet up (its hard to tell) on next to no power and into the wind, and the stabilisation guided me in.

One thing the SpyHawk doesn't do well, is fly fast into what could be considered a low headwind, but then, its only small and what it lacks in speed it makes up for in forgiveness :)

Should we therefore have a backup plan? I for one don't want to spook wildlife and maybe with a bunch of aircraft buzzing around and a bunch of us all wearing headsets, as much as the female ranger is hot, I for one don't wish to upset anyone or have anyone turn up with handcuffs and truncheons.

Turning up on mass might be a bit of a giveaway - mind you I quite like the idea of trying to sweet talk the "hot" ranger-ess!

Just need another spot incase we get moved on, I wont bring the skywalker cos its loud and big, but the quads im sure wont attract much attention due to noise.

I did ask my mate where I work but he's not up for mass invasion!!  :+
