Hi Guys... Thanks for all the info.
Need some help if possible as it seems i've been going around in circles trying to figure out what is the right way to get the failsafe set up.
Couple of question here...
1. Why two failsafe options? I actually have my three position switch set up with Manual, ATTI & GPS and I have them working properly I think? But I set them up with the throttle at 0, low stick. So do I need to start over and bind with the throttle above 10%? So when I do turn off the transmitter the failsafe box turns blue AND the throttle jumps to lets say 20%.
2. And should the manual position be set to failsafe?
I guess I don't really understand the ar8000 failsafe and then why you need the Naza failsafe at the same time? And when to use which one at what time?? HA!

Set the failsafe on the receiver so that the throttle is above 10%. You can test this via the Naza assist by turning the Tx off and seeing where the throttle position is on the calibration screen. 20-30% is just fine.

If you wish you can set your 3 position switch to GPS, Atti, Failsafe by setting the position correctly to get them turning blue. Check the failsafe again by turning the Tx off to ensure the mode goes from GPS or Atti to Failsafe and back again.

Manual can come much latter once you have mastered the Naza and the quad in both GPS and ATTI modes and made sure that failsafe works well.

I've just delved into the world of quads and have purchased a Naza with GPS for my DJI 450 Flame Wheel.

I've gone through the setup no problems and have a three position switch working with M, Atti and GPS. All good. I have also programmed in the Failsafe option so that when you turn the tx off, it goes to failsafe and sets the throttle at 25%.   All good at this point.

My query however, I like the option of having M, Atti and GPS on the switch, but I was wondering is there anyway of assigning another switch via a mix which will trigger the RTH without having to resort to turning the tx off?  Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Matt, don`t set your throttle to 25% on failsafe, it should be 50 - 55% throttle.

You could add a mix to add RTH, but you could just change Manual for RTH instead ?

you will need to swap it for another mode RTH instead of M i think

Ian, my mistake, I have the thtottle set above 50% for failsafe when I turn the TX off.

I know I can change the 3pos switch to do away with the Manual mode, but I would like the flexibility of keeping all three flight modes, but having a separate switch on a mix which will trigger the RTH.  I have seen it done using the DX7 and DX8 in videos and just wanted to see if anyone has done it on a 9c.  I will get it all plugged in and see if I can achieve the same.

Yeah just add a mix, the 3 position switch as the master, the RTH switch as the slave. Plug Naza into PC and play with mix percentage until it highlights RTH. The only thing you have to watch is what it will do if you accidentally flick the RTH switch when your not in manual mode, because it will / could go into another mode instead
