I can only assume that you would not pursue TBS for damages if one if their quads failed in flight and took out your car winscreen or shed a blade whilst hovering in front of your face and took out your eye.
Certainly nothing is risk free. So you make an assessment and seek to minimise the risk. I cannot see that TBS were seeking to minimise risk by flying in such congested and populated areas or so close to people.
Rules and legality apart, they did not exercise common sense. It was purely a publicity stunt and did nothing to further the cause of FPV.

There isn't a problem hear guys, thay don't live hear so it doesn't reflect badly on are flying, just because its FPV and thay happen to be flying in the UK, if it was a member of FPVUK or BMFA then I cane understand your concerns, I just watch these videos for what thay are. and in my opinion their great watching, and as for there not very well put together, there's les than a handful of people on hear, that come close to this skill of flying and editing, and I hope and dream, that one day to be half as talented as them.

The comments on the video are hilarious.  It's quite hard to tell if their fan base consists mostly of 12 year olds, dribbling, illiterate morons or some hellish alliance of both.

I, what?  What is that even supposed to mean?  The video production was ok, the music was dire and the there were no flying skills on show that made me gasp in awe.  But any attempt to discuss their videos with anything other than gushing praise makes someone a "HATER", apparently.

I made a comment on their video myself, polite but asking questions, it got voted up and then deleted.  Says it all.

I think your posting deserves a robust response for two reasons :

1. The flights were carried out in clear contravention of the ANO and CAP 658. These are intended to regulate the operation of all aircraft (ANO) and in particular model aircraft (CAP658) for the purpose of making life safer for everyone. There have been no posts in support of TBS with clear an cogent arguments as to the safe operation of their flight in the heavily populated and congested parts of London where filming took place and the danger in which they placed some people by close-in flying.

2. You have not confined your comments to the actions of TBS but instead have made it a personal attack. As I have been one of the people taking a position against this video it is clear that I am one of the people whom your comments about cantankerous old gits with crap coming out of their mouths is aimed at. This strikes me as a form of response which has come about because you have been backed into a corner, with no good argument for the video and have thus had to make it a personal. Surely you can do better than this.

BTW the nationality of TBS is irrelevant. They are required to conduct themselves according to the rules and regulations of the country in which they operate.

Woah come on guys lets not get personal, I've met Simon (TeamFTP) and he's sound as a pound I'm sure he wasn't meaning anything against anyone here. I think to be fair he probably meant the commenters on YouTube as that was the context being discussed at the time. Maybe it's a guilty conscience, electrotor? :P trolololol! :P

Think we're getting a little too wound up here - at the end of the day Trappy is the one who will meet Bubba if the CAA are at all bothered by it. Let's let them worry about it. Weather's great :D
