I had thought Far Sky for FR Sky but my Taranis starts nagging me incessantly about signal strength issues at a mere kilometer range  :(- so Far Sky is not really appropriate! I need them to release their L9R long range receiver (apparently giving 3 x normal range), and then I'll promote FarSky as the correct pronounciation!!

In this wifi/bluetooth/4g flooded world the performance of 2.4ghz is subjective doesn't matter what the system is.

Still wondering where mine is, I was on the so called Frsky-uk pre-order list but no email or anything so far
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

They used to be called Frysky but then changed to FRsky to avoid confusion with Flysky (who are crap).

I call them eff arr sky, but I guess Frysky might be correct

Yeah, myself and CK are on the 2nd list and also there's not been any communication etc. Does anyone know what's going on?

Wasn't is supposed to be RFSky (as im radio frequency) in the same way ChainLink was supposed to be ChinaLink?

So I must be one of the lucky few whose actually got the Taranis? (Gloat ;D)

Changing  the subject from the correct pronounciation of "FrSky", I am loving this transmitter :D  The ease with which you can assign any switch to do any job makes it really powerful, and the way you can assign different functions to the same switch is also really useful and easy to use- so having different amounts elevator trim mixed with different Flap positions is a sinch to achieve. For my quad I have the timer activated at 10% of throttle and giving me minit warnings, so there's no chance of forgetting to turn on the timer, and falling out of the sky because I've got carried away! When FPVing the voice warnings are partucularly reassuring.

Has anyone heard any news of the L9R long range receiver FrSky have designed for the Taranis? Has anyone got one? If so, what actual range do you get?

Flyn

I'm on the list too, still not heard anything either, fingers crossed soon.

Yes, when you set up a new model you tell it which protocol to use to match the Rx you are using.

Damn it.....I shouldn't....but I might just put one on the Credit Card!

Giantshark got 70 of them in, I've just taken another out of their stock, along with 2x X8R receivers.... It's only money *cough*

Well, 70....hmmm gives me an hour or two to decide! :D

Are the X8R new RX's??
