Just uploading the footage from last night onto my computer so I can scan through it all.

Had some flights low down around all the woods and could not see a thing!!... Lets hope we can spot it on the video????

I now have a lot of £££'s invested in FPV gear, not to mention the Zephyr build next. I am investing in one of these for myself and when we have Mad Dogs days...

The transmiters are quite cheap, so pilots wanting extra security only need to buy the transmitters and a key local person has the receiver (the spendy bit) which will be me in South Ox and I suggest those of you who live and fly in clumps around the country maybe chip in and get a receiver and then each buy transmitters and spare batteries for your planes.

This unit has been tested in Oxford by someone I know who found his mate miles away hiding on a test. Guaranteed almost 100% retrieval every time!

If you're prepared to pay a reward, perhaps the money will be better spent buying your mate with the receiver a beer :)

Thanks everybody it aint put me off just need to wait until when i get back gonna get the antenna tracker and ezosd aswell. Well not sure about ezosd or cyclops as this is cheaper with rth aswell

johnny go with ez its simply plug and play and will work spot on with all your other immerssion gear.

surely the cyclops is no where near as easy to setup and as daveylc said in another thread they have poor reviews too?

Its a big money spend so think about what you wanna do in the future, tracking etc?!?!

Go with the new cyclops storm osd if your budget is low... It's a good bit of kit :)

Also nothing wrong with 5.8GHz check my videos I fly behind plenty of trees :D

EZOSD doesn't have RTH that's what I meant Liam, so if he wants a RTH then the Cyclops is the way to go since if he buys an EZOSD he'll need to buy something else later on. Having said that, if he wants features then there are many other far superior OSDs than the EZOSD anyway. DragonOSD? HornetOSD ... even SuppoOSD and Remzibi I'd argue.

Plug and play is all well and good for basic setups, but the fact is if you want to do anything decent in FPV you're going to have to get the soldering iron out.

Sad loss :-( if i was a bit closer i would have come out with the quad to help look but im a hood couple of hundred miles off. Go down your local small airfield go to the cafe and see if you can bung some one half there hire fees for a trip up in there cessna 152 or somthing most will be great-full of the hours to be honest trust me i know too many ;-)

Cyclops storm just seems a lot better IMHO but I don't know a lot lol. When I get back home paramotor will be coming out so I can have a scan subject to atc approval. Just looking at UHF receivers what's range difference between diversity and normal as I can pick a 4 channel up for less than 50 quid
