All the best for the maiden flight..

Looking very nice. Its good that normal acrylic car sprays (I assume thats what you're using) seem to cover EPP very well. I remember reading loads of threads a couple of years ago about specialists paints and sprays to cover planes.

I'm torn between four planes at the moment; Flyingwings Veturi Evo, Flyingwings Raven racing set, Hobbyking Skipper and Durafly EFX Racer.

Yeah normal car paint works well.
That's quite a mix of planes Neil, maybe ask yourself what you what to get out of/do with a plane. I imagine the evo will tick a fair few, fast and low, cruiser, easily hold fpv gear

I was impressed how well the vent was suited to this style. Effortless climb and predictable glide down. Shame there aren't more mountains round here!

Hmm, there's a reason that the winglets go underneath the wing too. Possibly to do with reducing the chances of a stall? I'm sure someone here will be able to elaborate what happens.

Looking good! How easy is it to reverse the shaft on these motors? Just wondering what way to do mine.

My decals arrived today, got an awesome idea (at least I think it is anyway) so can't wait to get this progressed! :D

iPeel

I mounted my motor outboard to get the best balance, otherwise mine was a bit nose heavy, Cypher found his too tail heavy though so be prepared to swap based on your final CG tendency.

Lots of very sweet builds going on here! Will the center section be available to purchase individually out of curiosity?

Brucey

You'd have to email rob at flying wings. Do you have the mk1 version then?

Benny_H88

Yeah, I'm on my second, if I have a bad crash again then maybe grafting in a new center section would be just the job

iwan_canobi

What bolts have people use to attach the motor mount? I don't have any lying around that are fit for the job I dont think. M4 or M5 work?

Got all the cutouts done in the wing today, now need to solder up some wires for the longer runs to VTx and Rx. Will wait and use the solder station in work though as its too bloody cold in the shed!
