Yep, came down fine. I only noticed it after landing oddly.

Just had a look at the speedo - some of the FETs are gone. When one FET starts to go, it puts more load on the others and you get a chain reaction. The ESC is a well used JP energ 60A one with modified opto signal input and new caps etc... Been working fine for a while but evidently a bit more grunt is needed for this thing on 4S. I'll see what I can find in the shop tomorrow, preferably 70 or 80A..

I did consider replacing all the FETs with better ones as it wouldn't cost much, but this ESC is one of those dual board things held together with a bunch of 2mm spaced headers, and I really can't be bothered with that :)

I use a JP 80A one on mine and it's been great, but I did replace the heatsink with a decent finned one. Even pulling 65A for short bursts put it in crawl home mode for a couple of minutes before but I can rag it all I want after the new heatsink was fitted.

Found a new one in the drawer. Yay! I've ordered some antennas from Simon, just gotta order the RF modules now and build a new ground station. *Just*...

My setup is only drawing about 40A at WOT, so the 60A one is fine. I think a FET blew up on mine before the first flight even, so probs haven't been getting full power.

Good call on the heatsink btw. I shall do the same on the new one.

So I'm getting close to finishing mine, are you guys using the cog as per the manual? If so are you measuring from the front of the centre section or the tip of the wing chord?

It's from the leading edge at the root. I started with about 185mm as in the manual but it has been flown from about 195-175.
