All I can say is wow :) Did a quick Los maiden then landed incorporated the trims and did a short fpv maiden.

I was lucky in that the wind dropped just before so that helped with the flight being so smooth but it talky flew well. So much power on tap, the first launch I had someone throw it for me. Second one I tried my self and I had trouble ketogenic hold of it, nearly flew out of my hand ::)

I flew with two 2200 4s right at the front of the battery bay, Xaomi Yi up front. COG was right on 190. Will do some more testing but might have to get some 3300's as I don't know how long the two 22"s will give me.

Couple questions, how are you guys keeping cameras in? I taped over it for this flight but need to come up with a better solution. Have you done anything to strengthen our protect the wing tips? I had to pick the grass out of them this time so not sure they'll last without doing something.

Oh yeah one last thing, really easy to land as well?! Thought it might be a bit of a pig but floated in for the landing really smooth. The smaller batteries might have helped there I suppose.

Excellent, glad you've got it nicely trimmed out and balanced. Those 2200's should get you 20-25 minutes of flight time if you're not razzing around too much, I use the 3300 nanos and the 4000 multistars, the nanos fit better in the bay, the multistars lift the hatch up a little.

I use a Yi too, and have glued a but of plywood into the base as I found there wasn't much floor area that the camera was sitting on, it's much more sturdy now. I also printed up a part which forms a hatch over the board cam and makes a back for the camera to sit against, I then just use a battery strap to hold the camera in place. You can do the same thing with a bit of spare foam which will do just as well.

Nice one, glad it went well. Bit daunting the first launch!
For the wing tips, I cut the head off of a cable tie and glued the remaining plastic strip to the underside of the tip.
Even with the larger batteries she will glide forever, sometimes it's handy, other times its a PITA as it just won't land and glides for ages in ground effect.

That's pretty cool were you flying back in manual or 2D hold/ stabilise? Always find it a bit unnerving when gliding in case I let it get too slow and stall :-[

That was fully manual, from back in the day when I only had an ezOSD!
Yeah I had to make an effort to keep the nose down to maintain airspeed and not be tempted to pull the stick back to eek out the glide

Thank god it kept going, could have been a short term ownership!  :)

I love getting low with FPV, for me it's where the fun is at. Flying long distance get's boring quickly unless you keep finding somewhere new to go and look at. 

I really want to try 1.3 for my video now so I can hopefully go further out while staying low.  I managed 1.8km @ 120m before I bottled it. My RSSI was still showing 73% but the tx was beeping a lot to say it was losing packets.

Yeah low down is much more fun. Finding a high spot to launch from you can then fly at negative altitude quite far out, it's good fun!
