Any more news on testing, keen to know if you managed to reduce Yaw wobble further?  Trying to decide on a new FPV plane and this could fit the bill if it doesn't wobble :-)

I've had a couple more flights with it after fitting an SJ4000 up front and the additional nose weight definitely helped, there's also about 40MM of movement in the batteries to help with balancing. It's been very windy here though, so not much in terms of decent flights. I'm heading out tomorrow though and if I get more footage I'll post it up.

Yeah not been the best conditions recently for flying anything. Looking ok tomorrow here and hopefully Monday I'll be out as well.

Well I got out today and was joined by Brucey and ChrisVonBron. I got another flight in on the Venturi Evo and it's much better now it's properly balanced up.

Brucey also took the controls, after I launched it for him he did his usual and headed straight for about two feet off the deck, counting blades of grass:

It looks like we've got some much calmer weather round here over the next few days, I'm looking forward to getting out some more!

Yeah she flew great and inspired confidence straight away. I was happy to get down low (once I knew there were no goal post around!)
I can also confirm that this wing is robust as it has dealt with Neil's 'landings' perfectly!
I am now jealous and in need of a Vent more than before!

I reckon Any wing with similar configuration ( e.g Smallish fins not far from the c.g along the " fore and aft roll axis") will  do the "swagger" ( courtesy of G.Collins) at low speeds. You might make some gains by distributing the fins half above and half below the wing, but the only way to make real improvements is by increasing the moment. You can do that by increasing area of the fins, using a more effective aerofoil plan ( e.g tall and thinnish but watch the Reynolds number) and or the distance from the C.G.

A Wing with more sweep will do better as it puts the fins further back, but its less efficient overall..

On a wing the Fins interact with the wing as well ( in yaw the forward wing will tend to lift, not what you want), so getting the fins away from the wing would also help

Actually its easier on the new Venturi, because you can get the weight further forward so you can but the fins further back from the wing ( e.g on booms) without having to add yet more weight to balance...

The other option is to use a gyro and active spoilerons, like they do on some military stealth uavs...

Have you flown a flying wing before? Might be better of starting with a FlyingWings Falcon. Easier to launch, fly and build. But enables you to gain the skills to build this.

Cool, well in that case it's just making sure it balances correct (which you would of needed to do before) and laminating, which isn't that hard, lots of YouTube videos around on the subject.

Also there is a wealth of knowledge on here if you do get stuck!
