It'll bend, it's just a matter of making sure the right bit bends! The thing will want to bend on the bottom of the mount if you're not careful.

I've made a 2 degree block using the table saw and I just hammer the mount against it to get it at the right angle and flat. Another option is to mount the base in the vice and prise the motor mount with a large screwdriver.

Seems like a lot o work.. and none too precise

How about shim washers  TBH normal washers will be OK unless you are picky!

i've got to say from my own experience of 3 evo builds, if it's balance correctly about cog, the thrust angle is pretty good imho.

Greetings from sunny Northumberland, I have just taken delivery of a Venturi FPV EVO after taking in much of everyone's thoughts, comments and experiences building and flying this wing. I have a couple of questions but first would like to draw attention to the following build video that as a newbie with laminated foam wings I found very informative. What paint is thought to be best for the ply centre section and elevons? – am I correct in assuming acrylic car spray paint works well?

Has anyone modified the front plate to take a Gopro camera in its case? Any experience and a photo would be good.

There should have been an option at checkout to have the Gopro mount instead? There is a dedicated center section that is designed to fit the gopro properly, what one do you have?

Yes as far as the kit is concerned, although Brucey cleared that whole bay away and fitted his GoPro in the waterproof case with a board cam alongside. Structurally there's nothing stopping you doing that, although I think he butchered the GoPro case in order to fit it.

Edit: WRT your previous post, acrylic paint is the one you need, that won't harm the foam at all.

Yeah I have a gp3 in and knock off gp3+  case from goodluckbuy. To make it fit I chopped the lugs off the bottom and the button on the side for the wifi.
