Looks good. What are the little speakers in the last page???? Have I missed something, my ender 3 didn't come with speakers  :D

I couldn't get the glass bed to work very well. Went back to the one if comes with. I found it worked very well.
It might have been that I didn't clean the glass with hot soapy water first. I will give that a go when I get time.

Lol speakers are for old pc that I have resurrected for the software. It doesn't have a speaker and I'm not a cars fanatic they were just the cheapest speakers...

I've seen lots of criticism of all the various beds on offer at the moment and some seemingly knowledgeable advice saying always print on glass.

Glas was the only option last time I had one and then it was just being mega fussy about cleaning. I may try the hairspray

Just had a tip from BigT to say clean glass with warm soapy water, don't touch the glass and use the smooth side.

A Tyro79 kit has just dropped through the post (well, actually I had to go and answer the door, because of the box... but you get the idea)

I took a look at the 5" Tyro99 which was a cheap ($99) 5" quad kit, but it had some large shortcomings.  The camera was too narrow, the props were awful, you needed you're own receiver and there was a fair bit of noise in the FPV feed.  This 3" kit is cheaper again at $79 (about £62) so hopefully there are some improvements in the kit.  I'll get building on this one soon.

For the money it looks great, not sure about the bull nose props! I look forward to your review.

that's nice - keen to hear how you'll setup the live feed on the software side; are you planning to stream over youtube or twitch?

here's what arrived for me today: parts for my Taranis update project, including a spare shell which I intend to spray paint; and my sub-250g project, a joysway Eaglet - weights 117g stock RTF w/out battery. Some component upgrades and direct soldering planned. All from robotbirds, which had the same or lower price compared to banggood (ex. shipping which was £7.50 for the lot). The eaglet was about half price compared to other online sellers.

cheers

I was going to use YouTube bug initial tests were terrible using it, so swapped to Twitch and the result was absolutely perfect.

Turnigy Evolution radio. Feels nice and balanced and gimbals are smooth! I think I am going to like it, will take a bit to get used to it over my faithful FlySky i6.

Sonoff with 433 remote so I can turn the 3D printer that is in the garage on/off from the office/work and get Octopi to power itself all off when finished printing.

Now all I need to design is something to remove completed prints on completion.

A few things turned up at the weekend.  This little charger with lots of extra functions like being able to read/write PPM/PWM/SBUS, output power at a specific voltage/ampage and it supposed to measure ESC amp draw, but I couldn't figure out how that's supposed to work

Also got in a few new antennas from MenaceRC.  There's the Periscope (which is designed to go on your goggles but is tall and so isn't blocked by your head) and the Thrasher, which is a little stubby antenna with the idea being for racers - or people who make a habit of flying through ghost branches - that there's less to catch.  They are pagoda types
