Hi John,
It certainly is an open invitation.
The more the merrier. The only stipulation is for us to put FPVUK on the map and in a good light with the host BMFA affiliated club who have invited us for the second time.

Well I almost didn't make it home for the meet myself after all the planning. My Head Office are sticklers for rules and red tape and said I could not have my vacation because I was slightly "out of cycle". Anyway after pulling a few strings and calling in a few favours I am now good to go.

I thought I would put up location details as I find that always helps if you are going somewhere.
For those of you with SatNav it will be fairly easy. Just punch in LN3 5TP
The site is located next door to a large chemical company called OMEX and they have a tower with their name on it so you shouldn't miss it.

The location is an old WWII airfield in Bardney, Lincolnshire.
It is a very picturesque area and steeped in history. From the air you are able to see the whole of the old airfield layout from where Lancaster bombers were flown.
Close by you have, RAF Coningsby, Woodhall Spa and Lincoln with its own cathedral and castle.
Having experienced firsthand the accommodation around there I can guarantee a warm and friendly stay if required.
I personally live almost an hour away from there but prefer to fly there to any other club closer to me.
A little more detail on the site:
There is 240 volt electricity for charging etc.
A fully fitted kitchen.
A work area for fixing those slight mishaps.
Hot and cold running water.
Tea, Coffee and soft drinks and more than likely burgers etc throughout the day.
There are a few very nice public houses within a mile of the site for those that fancy a larger lunch.

I have posted a picture of the airfield from the air and you can see where the main runways were as well as the perimeter track.
The arrow on the picture points to the actual flying site and tower/clubhouse.

If anyone needs directions or has any other questions, now might be a good time to ask.
I will post my mobile number shortly for any problems finding the place on the day(s)
I am hoping to organise a BBQ and a few beers at the tower on the Saturday night but I have yet to get this authorised.
I will try to get a camera fitted to my large BE2c to get "pleasure trips" but time is short with me only getting back into uk on the evening of the 26th.
Hope to see some better weather than last year as well.

Well I'm no weather forecaster but looking at Accuweather it says rain on the Saturday morning with a shower in the afternoon. Sunday is predicting NO rain and cloudy which sounds better.
If anyone knows a weather website that is known to be good please let me know.
I will check again next weekend and see if it says the same.

I usually use XC Weather which generally gets the weather and wind pretty well spot on. Here's the link, but the forecast as I type is only going up to Friday 27th May.
