off the ground is easy its getting back on the ground thats the fun bit... or not!

have you ever been in the situation that a plane DIDN'T come back to the ground?  :D

its how they get to the ground thats intresting  :D

Ah yes, I should probably add that I don't fly planes (although I will be building one at some point), my FPVing is done via a quadcopter. :)

Hi Guys,
The Bardney FPV meet is fast approaching so I thought i'd keep the thread alive once again.
I'm finally home in 6 days time. It has been a long 17 weeks in Afghanistan this time and looking forward to a break.
I got an e-mail from Bardney yesterday and it seems they are looking forward to some FPV action. Here's a short quote from the e-mail.

Hi Everyone
  Firstly i would like to remind everybody that the Scale Day is on Sunday and the following weekend is fpv weekend and it would be nice for a grand turnout as we have had in recent years,(plus im ordering burgers and i cant eat them all...subject to belief.!!)

For those of you that turn up you will understand the part in brackets as soon as you see Tyrone. He's far from undernourished could be a way of describing him.
Any questions guys, now is the time to be asking.

You've got the backing of a great club and forward thinking Chairman who is open to FPV as long as it's done sensibly.  Even if it is windy, it won't stop me attending, I'll still fly as I did before and if I can have a good natter about FPV with like minded individuals and learn something as well as hopefully giving something back, then that will be a good day for me!

We appreciate you taking the time to organise Chris, so don't get down beat about the weather! None of us can change that, but we'll try to make the most out of it and keep our fingers crossed that the forecast is wrong!

tbh take the weather forecast with a pinch of salt anyway, it says it's supposed to be 21mph gusts outside at the minute, yet if I look out the window the birds are flying around and the trees aren't even moving....
