Ritewing Drak multibuy?

Just a quick poll really to see if anyone is interested in a multibuy from Chris from Ritewing for the new Drak. If I recall from the Z3, he can get a few airframes in one box so there would be a fairly substantial shipping saving.

Please don't take this as me volunteering to do all the logistics though, I'm just trying to see if there's much demand for the Drak... if not I'll end up buying one for myself if the price is right.

Depending on price then I'd be in. The thing looks cool and would be a good step up from my Tek Sumo as an FPV platform

I've emailed Chris, so it's just a case of waiting for his reply.

Others may have already initiated contact regarding shipping multiple Draks to the UK so perhaps they could shed some light on the pricing situation.

On his kickstarter page, the cost of a Drak kit with no laminate or other components is $200 which works out at around £130 according to Google

FYI it is international I can fit two kits in the same box for a slight extra shipping cost .
This is a great deal, I can ship two in one box to you cheaper than two here in the USA.
Shipping is 55.00 for one  65.00 for two in one box.'

I loved my Zephyr 2 and the quality of the Z3 (which  I've still got to get airborne... that's another story  (?)) , but that's a lot of money for a kit. I know there are lots of overheads before a penny is turned but around £25 for laminate   :o  , £185 ish for just the basic kit and that's before putting any gear in it,  it just gets so expensive.   

That's why I  looked for an alternative when replacing the Z2.    The flyingwings Venturi evo was half the price and extras like laminate were under a fiver. It still looks good and from the reviews flies as well as the Z2.  I just don't think I could justify that kind of money any more.

I know the Drak is something new, has no direct competitor, and I know it'll be great quality, but that still seems expensive for what it is.

I've got both the Z2 & Z3 and they are the both very good, yes they are expensive but they both have good flying characteristics and they last. The Drak will be my Christmas pressie off the wife and its easy to sell the idea because of the quality. Not sure I would pay for myself though hehehe

It's an easy sell for me. The Z3 is an awesome airframe and the Drak just improves on all of the weak points.
Longer run times and better crash resistance and repairability with the EPP foam.

I'm not sure whether it would make a better travel plane though. For me the Z3 is perfect size, fits into a suitcase easily and also fits into the back of my rented SUV without removing a wing. Drak is gonna need a much bigger box I think

Well having had a grumble about the cost last night, I just watched the vid Xup has posted of a close up look at the Drak and I must say it looks to be worth the money.....   a real quality piece of kit and a development progression from the Z2 & Z3.

It's a big plane and I hadn't realised it could be broken down like the Z3 too.

I won't need one until I've destroyed the Venturi and/or the Z3, but I am tempted !
