New Venturi EVO V2 Looks great.. like a bigger Falcon. Twin spars on the falcon might be good for alignment too. I think I built my wings a bit warped!

Well, the maiden didn't happen today and probably won't tomorrow as the weathers absolutely shite. So instead I've decided to rip the nose off and make major changes - before she's even flown!

The reason is I'd like to produce a modular system for the front camera section to allow a variety of board cams and HD cams to be combined and 3D printed to suit any needs. I ripped my foam block off:

... and measured up all the bits. As the bay is 120mm wide I've taken 0.5mm off that for allowing an easy fit accounting for minor build differences and allocated 49.5mm for the board cams and 70mm for the HD cams.

First off I made up a part for my PZ0420m and a part for a Mobius then welded them together:

It's printing for a test fit at the moment:

As you can see all that air in the part will make it not all that much heavier.

In the meantime I've also received the new graphics from Rob and vinyl cut them, looks really nice:

Yeah, my old one was a bit tired and I needed something that printed ABS with zero fuss and a more streamlined workflow. The quality I get from the Box is amazing and support material is dead easy to remove.

Worth checking the plate at the back of the extruder is a "new style" part with little lugs that support the ribbon cable. I got through three cables before we found out the older part creases the cable and shorts two pins together. Updated parts are available on the Up! website, TBH I didn't expect a premium printer to need 3D printed parts but once that was sorted the quality is so good I'd forgive them.

The new nose section is printed and in place now:

I should also have Brucey dropping round his GP3 in the next few days for a measuring up, so will add that to the collection of assets along with the Xaiomi Yi.

Anyone spot the new logo ?

All will be revealed with the new website coming on stream very soon

Cheers Rob

Awesome mate, looking good. Any thoughts on the colour scheme, Martini racing again?

I need to get on with measuring up your GP3, I'm still working on the nose cone too. Will get them both sorted today.

Brucey

Thanks bud. It's so nice to build. Really stiff with the extra spar.

Yeah sticking with the stripes, but they won't get attached until she's earned them after the maiden!

Any updates?
What is actually included with the kit, I mean, will the camera modular section be included as well?!
