I normally just use the wilkos own brand craft spray paint, but I give the surface of the EPO a light sanding with fine paper beforehand. Gets rid of the mould release agent residue and leaves a nice surface for the paint to adhere to.

I do very light coats, leaving 10 mins between coats.

Sometimes I get impatient and try and get the end result in one spray sitting... never a good idea as the paint tents to drip :(

I know this is your thread JT lol, but thought I'd chip in with a pic of my mini talon as I don't think I'll be doing a thread of my own.

Apart from me not being TJ....... (?)   no worries BF or should I say FB

You've put a Vector on? Thought you had given them up?

Just designed a replacement FPV tray, it just has a servo mount on. I'll share the file after it prints if it fits OK. It may or may not as it's the first time I've tried to recreate the shape of something that cant be made with just boxes and cylinders in 3d software

Still need to design a Mobius and fatshark holder to go on it, and maybe a YI and fatshark mount.

oops lol, fixed

NO, god no not given up on the Vector... just wanted to swap one for a MFD AP but no-one wanted to buy the Vector so might as well use what I've got.

Seeing as you mentioned me.
I should add a pic of mine lol.

Mines just plane (pun intended) white with pink landing gear lol.

Oh with an mfd ap.

Wouldn't mind grabbing an stl of your canopy JT lol.

What you made it in.
I'm still on boxes and cylinders too lol

If it fits lol. I've got one printing at the moment but it's a 4hr print, I'm doing it in one piece as obviously it's strongest that way. If it comes out OK I'll upload it to thingiverse and post the link here.

I'm using fusion 360, I like it but some things you would think were going to be basic in it turn out to be real head scratchers. Googling problems on it often comes up with really complicated answers but I seemto get there eventually by tinkering

My box arrived today :)  Is anyone laminating it?
Me, just laminating the bottom and the a little of the front, after having the Twinstar for so long it paid off and kept it nice with the sites I fly from.
Skyhunter, Drak, Mini Talon, Z3, Z2 and 250 Vortex. :overexcited:

Right, version 2 of my canopy. I've moved the servo mount to the front(mostly to suit a mobius etc) so you don't see a load of plane nose in the video ;)

It fits good  :)  I just need to design and print a mobius and fatshark cam holder now. I also need a 180 degree servo, went on Hobbyking for the one they sell but it's on backorder  :(

Like the canopy.  I might have to use that on my build!

Thanks JT.
Looks good.
Karma given :)

Now I just need to find some glue to stick my prints to the bed.
They keep changing the Pritt stick, last one I had worked perfectly.
This new one is now washable @ 30 degress, which means with heatbed at 110-115 degrees it just burns off the stickyness lol.

I find that Staples own brand stuff works really well for me.  It goes on nice and smoothly, and can be reused if you wipe it around with a damp bit of kitchen roll or similar.   That's for printing PLA though, I don't tend to push the bed past about 65 degrees C....

Yeah might have to go back to PLA for a bit.

I've tried pva and water, that doesn't work for me either.
Couple of good prints, but can never get the same consistency lol.
