Ok thanks for info.tempted to put another arkbird in as it has launch assist.

I've learned the hard way. Nearly all of my failed mini T launches have been on 75% throttle. Give it the full stick.

Been reading that mini talon are hard to launch is that right,I will be running the sunnysky motor with 8x6 apc prop and a 4s 8000mah battery.
I had loads of issues launching it to start but all down to cog being too far back. Get the cg on the spar and you should have no issues. You also need a strong level chuck to launch it I don't give it any up angle at all.

A guy I have been flying with the last couple of weeks was struggling to launch his wing. He was running around 70% throttle. I asked him to try giving it 100% and he was up in the air no problem. Not sure why some people are so afraid of full throttle  :+

It's perhaps my biggest annoyance too.

There are only two situations where it makes sense IMO.

1) you have a pusher Bixler style where full throttle can push the nose into the ground

2) you have some mentally powerful torque beast motor in a tiny plane (think hugely overpowered funjet etc) and the torque at full throttle will just roll the plane.

Maybe it's the big spinny thing at the back which gets within a foot of your face

Not that there's much difference in the result if it hits at 75% instead of 100% :o

If I crank the Skywalker to 100% I can feel the whole plane trying to push is nose into the ground.

I have the same issue as SnoozyDog, cranking my Skywalker up to 100% causes it to dive on launch, usually the fc or my hand gets back to the stick in time but it's always a tense moment, not forgetting the 12x6 mincer on the back. As a result,  I made a dolly for it a few weeks back, much safer and easier all round. It also means I can play with fully automated missions from take off to landing.

I forgot there was a 12 inch prop on the back of my skywalker on its maiden

Does anyone know roughly when the Mini Talons were in-stock in the Banggood EU warehouse? Trying to get hold of one but seen a lot of dubious reviews about the packaging when ordered from China  :)
