My Taranis arrived !!!!!!!!!!

Its unbelievable ! No really, after all that time its finally here and within 4 switching motions of two of the switches, the frekking switches snapped off !!!!! :(

Unbelievable !

On a plus point, they have that many pointless 3 way switches on it I was going to swap some out for 2 way switches anyway, now I guess I know which ones I`m going to pull out first lol
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

looks like that side took a whack maybe and weakened them? mine have had many cycles now and are fine, but my taranis tx box was trashed on the bottom I had to do a fix up job....

I cant see any marks Jim, box looks untouched, frekkin annoying though, but gives me an excuse to pull it apart, look inside, and get rid of some of those annoying 3 way switches lol

I know one of our major gripes is radios don`t come with enough 3 ways, but everything 3 way but two, one being the trainer switch, yeah too many lol

Too late bud, I have replaced the trainer switch, moved SD up to SG, replaced SD with a 2 position switch, took SA out and replaced that with a 2 position switch too. Much better :)

Sounds like a good idea to replace them... Mine are doing fine other than the one that broke when I dropped it, but that isn't a good sign that yours are rusting lol.

Rick

I know! Kept in its box etc and only a couple of weeks old of course. Only surface rust but still! Very poor.

It sounds like FrSky's switch suppliers are unable to keep up with demand and are sending inferior parts. The switches on mine (from the first batch)  are perfect   ;D- no sign of any corrosion, even after being in my sweaty mits for about three months of constant use.

As for the array of three way switches, I have established which switches I use, and which ones I don't and I have relevant voice prompts on the ones I do use, so I know I,ve hit the right switch- "Flaps half", "Flaps Full" on SE, "Normal", "Attitue" and "GPS" on SG which is my mode switch for both quads and fixed wing, LS and S1 for pan and tilt with SA and SB centering and extreems for the same. SF is RTH and sounds a siren, SD is my OSD display switch for the Storm OSD - that only leaves one 3 way unused at the moment - SC.

I don't think there's any real benefit in swapping 3-ways for 2-ways.

I have some :  on-on-momentary on switches.

Thee are nice as 2 switch replacements, while still retaining the 3 pos as a momentary.

Hi all so where can I get one. thanks Vic

Coyote - when you replaced the 3 position with 2 position switches, did you just hook up the signal and ground or did you have the type of 2 position switch that has three prongs for all three wires?

I'm just about to do some rewiring inside mine for the momentary push button switches etc and was curious what you did... I'll be replacing the left slider with the 6 position, right slider with a 3 position... those are easy, just have to hook up all three wires. The momentary switches only have 2 contacts though and not sure how the taranis works. If it has an internal pull up on the signal line then just signal and ground will work, if not then I might have to rethink/buy new switches.

Okay been playing with a multimeter and that won't work... Needs to be an SPDT switch.

Fun fact - red wires are GND and brown are +3v... Go figure.
