Thanks for the gold frame Krikey,it came yesterday.

Unfortunatly i had a bit of a disaster with 2 mystery esc's,which started smoking and damaged a motor, then after that i blew up another motor with a screw that was too long ;D

Awaiting new motors now.

krikey

Ouch. If its any consolation, I ruined a motor by getting the wires caught up in the prop, which ripped the little copper cables out of the base of the motor.

Nice one for the link to the props.
Krikey could you tell me what the gap is between bottom plate and bottom off the kk top plate? Trying to work out what standoffs I need to get a 3s in there, also whatd the width between standoffs?
Thanks

Remembered to weigh mine tonight, 413g ready to fly, fixed FatShark camera, no onboard recording, haven't really thought that through completely yet, might get a Mobius as a combination FPV camera and recorder.

The gap between the KK2 and the base plate is 10mm and the gap between the standoffs is 26mmx 90mm

Thanks M8. My M8 dropped off the KK2 board this morning.

Love the gold colour ;D

Awaiting motors now on the slow boat from china :(

krikey

Very blingy. I like the idea of adding the LEDs too. Might try that on mine.

I wonder what the smallest mission based controller might be? Could we see the K-Quad flying automated missions?

Multiwii miniwii could be an option? Not sure if the 2.3 supports waypoints tho,

krikey

I used M2 bolts and M2 Nyloc nuts with some loctite. readily available off Ebay. Not sure if motors typically come with mounting screws, I don't think the Turningy 1811s do.

Hi krikey, did you already shipped my order?

Thanks
