I can recommend the burgers they cooked for us at Bardney in April!  They made us very welcome and plenty of tea and coffee on offer.

I'm sure they won't mind you taking your own food to heat up if required too.

I fly helicopters and can test them out for you if you wish (assuming mode 2?).  I may throw my little Blade 450X in the back of my car too. Great little helicopter that!

PS. I have my BMFA A certificate in both Fixed Wing and Helicopters, so there shouldn't be an issue there :)

Many thanks - will take you up on your offer - SATURDAY & YES both Mode 2 Throttle on left

No problems.  I have a B&B booked now, so I intend to be there Saturday and Sunday am.  See you there.

Cheers

Excellent stuff guys, I'm looking forward to this now :D

I'm coming down the A15 myself, no idea if anyone else is but the McDonalds I'll probably get a coffee from is a bit of a detour intowards Scunthorpe for a couple of miles onto the South industrial estate where Argos and Morrisons are...  or I could just make a flask heh.

What sort of time are most people hoping to arrive at Bardney on Saturday ??

Good question, I was thinking 10am might suffice but I'm not averse to coming down for sunset :D

I'm just not sure how much flying I'll be able to get in with 2 lipos and no field charger :(

Understand 240v elec available at Bardney (as long as you don't want the kettle !) - I will have a charger with me that can charge 4 batteries at the same time - what connectors does your battery have on it ??

I'm aiming between 9am and 10am.

Bring your charger Steve, there are facilities to charge your batteries there.  I'm going to bring my charger which is one of those which will do four lipos at once.  I use XT60 and Deans connections, so unless you use anything different to that, your welcome to charge your batteries on my charger.  If you use anything different, just bring the leads with you and I'm sure they'll work in mine.

@mjc1970 - Are you going to take your 'welders' helmet ? If so I'll also take mine - so we can look daft together !!

PS On the Saturday I will also be bringing a couple of helicopters, which I would like someone else to fly to check them out.

Any heli pilots going on Saturday ??

Hi bud,

I've got a Heli bmfa "A" & fly a trex 600 E flybar, I can check you heli's for you if you like, balance your mains & tail blades & then the whole heads on each Heli - it makes a massive difference to how they fly.

Hopefully I'll be bring mine toting a dslr to record the day.

I have 2x GoPro's and a couple of mounts that I will bring so can strap on / velcro to various aircraft if people want.
