Hi there. I know a farmer who has found an X8 DELTA WING on their land over at Baumber(about 9 miles from Bardney). I did a bit of detective work and found this forum via google and saw a member has lost one at the weekend. If the owner(or someone who knows them) would like to contact me via email [email protected] then I will put you in touch with the farmer. The model is being stored in his garage, so it is safe. If the owner would like to give a small donation to our village church fund, as a thank-you, that would really be appreciated!!!

I had a contact number in it wtg40w but it was an old one, I took it out but never got around to renewing it. However the massive FPVUK stickers seemed to have done the job just fine :)

Well, it's in safe hands now and not too shabby considering it's been outside in the elements for 4 days straight.

Damage:
Go Pro gone
Motor gone (and mount obliterated!)
Wingtip snapped off (and it had been repaired previously).
VTX antenna is pancaked :laugh:
One battery puffed up

In terms of searching, DAMN we were close on the day!!!! Argh how infuriating is that!

It's always so refreshing to find out there's lovely people out there who would find a plane with no contact details on it, and then go out of their way to try and reunite it with the owner by looking at the stickers, and then using google.

It was our pleasure to help reunite. Hopefully, the missing bits will be found upon another search by Ant. You guys were SO close on Sunday to where it was!!! Lucky really that it made it over the very busy A158 road or it may not have faired as well as it did!!!

I CANT GET OVER WHERE IT LANDED!!!!  :o :o :o

We used that wood with the bit missing in the middle to locate its rough landing site on Google Maps if you remember. I said "Oh it must have drifted down wind" DOH!!!!!!!!!  >:( >:(

Can not get over how close we were to it.

Well at least it is back.

WDR camera is working perfectly, and also FY31-AP OSD is displaying on the live feed :)

Slightly off topic but what will you be doing with the damaged air frame? I may be able to make use of it if you're binning it.

I`m going to transplant everything I think Rob, the winglets been repaired once over,it probably be ok. The motor mount would need a fair bit of work though.

The airframe would be skipped so yeah if you want it its your mate. The body itself is fine.
