Well it seems we have a lot of interest in the meet this time. Best I warn the Bardney Chairman to get more burgers in.
Will be good to have a few more there this time.

Any question on accomodation guys, let me know in plenty of time.

Dude, can you ask the chairman if we can camp on a corner of the field or in the car park or somit? No fires goes without saying.

Cool mate thanks for enquiring for me, haunted control tower could be fun. Just got a set of Headplay goggles in the mail today, can't wait to use them!!!

Just had a talk to the Chairman of BMFC and he and the members are looking forward to us going down there again.
He wants to put some FPV gear in a towed glider which could be interesting.
I am going to put some gear in my BE2c rear seat so if the weathers calm enough for the old lady to fly, that also could make for some good authentic looking footage. I'm not practiced enough to go under the goggles with the old girl but passenger rides could be a winner.

Let's all pray to the weather God's guys as quite a few should be coming this time.

not a million miles away I fly just outside Lincoln FPV :)

I thought I would put up location details as I find that always helps if you are going somewhere.
For those of you with SatNav it will be fairly easy. Just punch in LN3 5TP The site is located next door to a large chemical company called OMEX and they have a tower with their name on it so you shouldn't miss it.

The location is an old WWII airfield in Bardney, Lincolnshire.
It is a very picturesque area and steeped in history. From the air you are able to see the whole of the old airfield layout from where Lancaster bombers were flown.
Close by you have, RAF Coningsby, Woodhall Spa and Lincoln with its own cathedral and castle.
Having experienced firsthand the accommodation around there I can guarantee a warm and friendly stay if required.
I personally live almost an hour away from there but prefer to fly there to any other club closer to me.
A little more detail on the site:
There is 240 volt electricity for charging etc.
A fully fitted kitchen.
A work area for fixing those slight mishaps.
Hot and cold running water.
Tea, Coffee and soft drinks and more than likely burgers etc throughout the day.
There are a few very nice public houses within a mile of the site for those that fancy a larger lunch.

As for rules. The usual frequency controls will be used for those on 35Mhz. If a lot turn up don't be surprised if the host club ask for your transmitters to be booked in for this reason. It makes sense and could save a model.
We are possibly looking at alternating the flying between us FPVers and the LOSers to make it fair.

Although they didn't ask for it last time it would be advisable to take your FPV or BMFA insurance.

There will be a brief by the chairman prior to commencing flying giving the local rules and non flying areas.

Both the last 2 meets have been very successful althought he weather was crap both times. the whole idea of the meets is to show FPV in a good light especially at a BMFA affiliated club.

Safety is paramount as always guys, for those of you who have not flown with others before, please listen to the brief for circuit directions etc and follow their lead.

One simple rule is "always stand in the pilots box while flying and always communicate your intent to take off or land with others already flying."

Ah this sounds awesome! I only live in Lincoln, and my gf lives in Bardney.... so I'd love to come along to this and meet some flyers and FPVers.

Are none members welcome, possibly with the intention of joining the club? ;)
